"Hey princess! Watcha doin'?"

It was the next day, and I was signing papers once again, until Jackson came to bother me.

"Important work." I replied, not looking up.

"Ew… You should take a break and come hang out with me instead~" He suggested, waggling his eyebrows. I set my quill down in the ink pot and put the paper in the finished pile, sighing and looking up at Jackson.

"I realllly can't, Prince Jackson." I sighed, taking a paper from the unfinished pile and going back to signing. He sighed, sitting down in a chair next to me.

"Oh…" he mumbled, watching me write, listening to the scritch scritch of the quill. I ignored him watching and switched papers, signing a new one about some bridge dedicated to the Queen.

"Why do you even have to sign those? Can't your mom or dad do that?" He sighed, annoyed. I set down my quill and pinched the bridge of my nose.

"Yes, the Queen or King have a duty to sign all treaties that come to our kingdom, as it is of great importance. And yet, because I am of royal blood, Legally I can sign the treaties. So here I am." I growled bitterly, trying to keep my cool and keep my etiquette good.

"Ewww. That sucks. You should leave them anyways, it won't be a problem, it's not like it's really your duty as Princess. You're only supposed to sign in absence of the queen or king, right?" He sighed, tapping his fingers on the table. I sighed, remembering the nasty scars on my back from the last time I disobeyed my parents and quietly shook my head.

"It's final Jackson. I can't for a couple hours." I rolled my eyes, switching papers again. He huffed, kicking me lightly under the table.

"Come onnn Princess. Would it be more fun to likemakeoutinaclosetsomewhere instead?" He smirked, tracing the lines in the table with his finger.

"I-..... I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that last part. And if I had, the answer would be no."

"So am I, and the answer better be fuckin no." Oliver growled, stomping in and slumping down in a chair.

"Yooo, calm down, 'O great dark prince Oliver.' it's fair game. Plus it was a joke, don't get your panties in a twist." Jackson retorted, smirking.

Oliver's eyes flashed and he began to stood up.

"O-Olive! Jackson! Calm down and stop being pricks!" I sighed, setting down the quill and massaging my scalp.

"Fine." They said in unison, looking accusingly at each other.

"Lex, do you want any help?" Oliver muttered.

I sighed, "Olive, thanks b-but I can't accept."

"Okay then just take a break!" Oliver and Jackson said in unison again.

"....Well…. I guess it couldn't… really hurt as long as my mom doesn't find out?.. but I still have a lot of other duties to do….." I mumbled nervously, shuffling some papers into their correct piles.

"Okay whateverrrr it's not the end of the world if you take a break. C'mon!" Jackson hopped up excitedly, clapping his hands. I stood up nervously, adjusting my skirt and smoothing down "my hair." Oliver and Jackson left the room, while I trailed slightly behind them. I followed them down the hall cautiously, watching for my mother.

"Oliver wait up!" I whispered, speeding up a bit to catch up to him. Jackson furrowed his brows and yanked on my hand slightly so I tumbled into his side, his hand falling around my waist.

"Hey, watch out princess." He smirked, wiggling his eyebrows at Oliver, who was pretending to not be furious. I shrugged away nervously, not in the mood for his antics.

"Ooh! You guys have a garden?!" Jackson ran over to a window, almost falling out, staring in awe at the long stretch of flowers, exotic plants, greenhouses, and a huge maze.

"Yeah, obviously…" I rolled my eyes, folding my arms over my chest.

"Cmon Princess, Can we go can we go can we go!" Jackson yelled excitedly.

"Jackson, Calm your fucking dick it's some plants…" Oliver sulked, leaning against a wall, face hidden by shadows.

I sighed. "Sure, Jackson."

He grinned and grabbed my hand, earning a sharp glare from Oliver that he hardly noticed and dragged me down the hall.
