I do not own seven deadly sins all rights go to the original creator.

"Gloxinia and Drole go to Cains and eradicate the demons that are attacking the village."  The arch-angle Ludociel ordered the Fairy and Giant Kings.

"Where can we find this village?" Gloxinia asked with his head tilted to the side.

Gloxinia had bright red hair, caramel brown eyes, light peach skin, pointed ears, and had rainbow-colored monarch butterfly wings. He wore baggy white pants with butterfly patterns at the cuffs and a green sash  at the waist line.

"Cains is 300 kilometers south from here."  Ludociel  replied curtly.

"C'mon Drole lets go." Gloxinia said as he took off flying towards Cains.

Gloxinia's POV (Cains)

When we got to the village it was already destroyed. Red and grey demons were eating villagers souls. I could hear children crying and screams being cut short.

"Spirit Spear Basquias, first configuration, Basquias." I said calmly. I directed my spear to the herd of demons to my right and then the ones to my left as I decapitated the rest of the demons in my eyesight.

Drole grunted as he impaled the rest of demons with spikes.

When the dust settled all I could see was the ruins of Cains. I heard stories about the town's agriculture and strength so I grimaced when I saw how far the great town had fallen.

"Somebody help!!!" a female voice screamed. I could hear pain in her voice as well as a sob. I turned to the direction of the voice and flew to it immediately.

When I got to the voice I saw a girl that couldn't have been more than 16 years old, lying on the ground with a large gash across her stomach.

I knelt down next to her. The girl had hazelnut brown hair that was in a loose pony tail with many strands covering her tear stricken face. She also had deep teal eyes and very pale skin that was bordering on gray.

Her eyes widened in fear when she saw me. "Poor thing," I thought as I grimaced. "Why do you think that I'm a demon?" I was taken out of my thoughts wen I heard her cry out.

She had tried to crawl away, but only managed to get a meter away from me.

I got up and walked towards her with my hands up. "I'm not going to hurt you, I came here to help." I said, hoping to calm her down.

"How can I trust you? Who the hell are you?" She asked with hard eyes.

"I'm Gloxinia and I'm the Fairy King. As for trusting me, I can't say anything to make you trust me, that's entirely your decision." I paused, "Who are you?"

She shifted uncomfortably. "I'm Sage Claire." Sage said with a tear running down her face.

"Do you want me to heal you?" I asked

"Please,"

"Spirit Spear Basquias, Seventh Configuration, Moon Rose Droplet of Life."

Sage's wounds healed quickly as expected. However, I still saw pain in her eyes, but I just thought that she probably family or friends during the attack. I read her emotions, but I couldn't get any exact emotions. All that I could get from her was a negativity that I couldn't explain or describe.

"Why are you staring at me?"  Sage asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Sorry." I said slightly embarrassed. "Oh, you can get up now. Your wounds should be fully healed."

"Okay," Sage said slowly. As she got up I could tell that she was expecting pain and she was shocked when there was none. "You weren't lying."

"Why would I?"

"I don't particularly trust strangers."

"That makes sense. You're welcome." I replied with a grim smile.

"Gloxinia," Drole said as he walked up to us. Sage jumped slightly when she saw Drole, she was probably intimated.

Drole was 32 meters tall, had purple eyes and blue skin. He wore torn yellow pants. "Gloxinia we need to head back to headquarters." Drole said while looking at the devastation. "Who are you?" Drole asked Sage.

"Um... I'm Sage Claire." Sage said shakily. "Who might you be?'

"I'm Drole, the Giant King." Drole said.

"Well thank you for killing those demons." Sage said.

"Did you lose anybody you loved during the attack?" I asked timidly. I didn't mean to intrude or anything.

"I lost my friend shortly before the attack, but not during the attack." Sage said, failing to meet our eyes.

"I'm sorry for your loss."  I said sadly. For some reason her pain picked at my heart strings stronger than expected.

However she just waved me off.  "Besides, she was going to have to leave me for years anyway. At least I got to say goodbye."

There was an air of awkward silence around us until Drole broke it. "We need to head back now or we'll have to deal with Ludociel."

I nodded in agreement and turned away from Sage.

"Wait," Sage said.

I turned back to look at her of confusion on my face, "Yes?"

Sage opened her mouth to speak but no words came out, so she closed it. Sage opened her mouth again and this time words came out.

"Let me come with you."
