Chapter 7

"What do you want to tell me? Make it quick," Jeff said. He wouldn't let Keefe sit on his bed, but only stand on the bare floor.

"So...I'm sorry about whatever I did. Are you....jealous or something?" Keefe asked quickly, not looking at Jeff. 

Jeff heard a scoff. "Sure, you're "perfect" and all but you're a bad friend. And I don't get jealous of bad people." He tossed Keefe an annoyed look.

So Jeff wasn't jealous. Then why was he angry? "Um, then why are you mad at me?" Keefe asked.

"Do you even have to ASK?!??!" Jeff yelled. "If you can't even recognize the problem here, then get out of my house. I don't need to see you ever again." 

"....But you HAVE to see me. I go to the same sch-" Keefe got interrupted my a very angry Jeff. 

"I KNOW, I KNOW, I'M NOT STUPID!" He tossed his hands in the air. While Jeff was fuming and rambling, Keefe thought about everything that happened.  Going to school...meeting Jeff.....the cafeteria.....the cafeteria. That's it! That's why Jeff was angry! Keefe had abandoned him at the cafeteria! 

"JEFF!" Keefe had to yell to get Jeff's attention. "I'm sorry for abandoning you at the cafeteria. I really didn't mean it. It's my first time in high school...and to be honest this whole "mob of crowd" thingy...it never really happened before so I got all excited. I'm really sorry I was a bad friend. You can abandon me to pay me back." 

Jeff thought for a moment. Keefe's apology sounded genuine. But he had to think about it for awhile. "You can go now." 

Keefe wasn't expecting that kind of answer. He wasn't expecting it at all. "Wait....you want me to go? But do you forgive me?" 

Jeff sighed. "I'll think about it." 

Keefe nodded, and left Jeff's house. He really hoped Jeff would forgive him.

At Keefe's bedroom, he was having a talk with Sophie.

And then Jeff smiled a really bright smile and said, "I FORGIVE YOU, LORD HUNKYHAIR!" And we were best buds again.  Keefe was telling her the whole story about Jeff. 

Keefe, don't exaggerate. I bet he didn't really say that. Anyhow, we're still looking for you. Don't get into any trouble, okay? 

But I'm having a GREAT time here! AND I need to try pizza one more time. But when I get back, I promise to save you one and the others so you can taste how wonderful it is! 

Keefe, pizza isn't the problem here. And we'll try to reach to you ASAP. And please, please remember: DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID! Think before you do or say something, okay? 

BORING FOSTER!

KEEFE!

Fine, fine, fine. Whatever. 

Promise?

Ooh look how worried you are for me! Keefe chuckled. 

No time for jokes. Just promise me you won't do anything stupid.

I'm Lord HunkyHair. I don't do anything stupid. 

Let's see about that. Good bye. Do not get into any trouble. 

"KEEFE!" Mrs. Ross yelled. "TIME FOR DINNER! COME DOWN!"

Keefe smiled. He really loved human dishes. "COMINNNN!" Keefe ran down the stairs and sat in his seat. On his plate was these yellow stuff that looked like small, fat worms, all twisted up. "What the heck is this?" Keefe muttered to himself. 

"OOH!" Carter squealed. "IT'S MAC AND CHEESE!" 

Mac and Cheese. Humans really do love cheese, don't they? "So...this person named MAC created Mac and Cheese?" Keefe asked, trying to start a conversation. 

"No, dumbo. The full name is Macaroni and Cheese," Maddi rolled her eyes. "Mom, why is Keefe acting so stupid lately?" 

"Don't use the word "dumbo" and "stupid". It's not very nice," Mrs. Ross said. She ate a fork full of the mac and cheese stuff.

Keefe decided to try it. With his fork, he pinched up and few of those fat worm-like cheese stuff, and ate it. WOW. This is really good. Keefe thought. 

Soon enough, his plate was empty and he was getting seconds. 

"Mom...can I go now?" Carter asked. His plate wasn't even half empty. "I promised Sam that I'll play with him later." 

Mrs. Ross sighed. "Okay, you can go. But please finish your plate next time." 

Carter did a fist pump in the air and left the table. 

"He gets to go and I don't?" Maddi complained. "That's not fair! I want to go too! I'm not hungry!" 

"If you finish your plate, you can get a Mystery Maniac Dum Dums," Mrs. Ross said. Dum Dums? What kind of weird name is that? Whatever it was, it must be dumb. 

"OKAY!" Maddi finished her plate, and grabbed something out of a jar full of lollipops. (A/N Idk if elves know lollipops, and I'm pretty sure they don't...but let's just say they do.) 

She sucked on a lolli that was light yellow. "This is popcorn flavored! YUM! But the bacon and pizza one isn't that good." 

Pizza flavored lollipop? "OOH, CAN I TRY ONE? THE PIZZA ONE!" Keefe said eagerly. He left his second plate of mac and cheese, and reached for a Mystery Maniac. When he opened the wrapped, it was like a reddish-brownish color. He sucked on it and choked. "Wow, this tastes too much like pizza!" But he finished it till the end of the stick, anyway. 

DING DONG! "Oop, I'll get it!" Keefe rushed to the door and opened it.

What a surprise to see Sophie Foster standing there.
