Gone (Deku x Shoto)

Chapter 3

(Aizawa POV)

"Thanks, Hizashi. Hopefully, this is nothing. But I really don't like what Endeavor said. I have a bad feeling." I said quietly to Hizashi as we sat hiding up a tree near the Yagi house. I had a good view of the front from here.

"Hey, babe I'll always be right next to you. I can't believe what he did to Yagi. I wonder how Toshinori took it. He won't be happy that he hurt his son." Hizashi whispered back.

"If I was Endeavor it's not Toshinori I'd be worried about its Inko. You never mess with a mother. The things they are willing to do to keep their kids safe are scary." I say smiling at him.

I look up at the inky sky. All the lights in the house have been out for a while now. I sit stiffly in the tree next to Hizashi. He puts his arm over me and I sigh. It's going to be a long night.

I look up at the windows and see a light on at the top of the house. I squint there's something strange about it. It seems to be flickering.

"Shit I think he is in there," I say as I swing down.

We run over and as we get to the door the upstairs windows blow out spraying us in hot glass. I kick in the front door and I am met with intense heat. I shout out for the family but get no response. The smoke is thick and suffocating. A few feet in I see someone laying on the floor. I turn them over to see the young Yogi.

"Izuku. Izuku." I shout at him he groans and relief washes over me.

Hizashi goes in further as I pick Izuku up and run him straight to our hiding spot before I go back to help. I see Hizashi pull out an unconscious Toshinori. They were barely out the door when a bigger explosion pushed them down the steps. I look at the house that is now completely covered in flames. I can hear the sirens coming and we get Toshinori over to Izuku who is still unconscious. I look at the two Yagi's and my heart breaks. They are going to be devastated when they realize Inko didn't make it. I get Hizashi to get them to safety while I deal with the police and fire brigade. I phone Recovery Girl as I am going to need to cash in on my favor she owes me.

I swing over to the police and fire brigade. I tell them under no circumstance is anyone to go in there as it is now an active crime scene and they have to wait until my people look at it as it is the house of the former No.1 hero All Might and his new wife and son. I have no idea if Endeavor stuck around to make sure they all died or not and didn't want to tip him off that not all of them perished in the fire.

Recovery girl comes through on my request. She brings the coroner's van with two crisped-up males bodies that fit Toshinori and Izuku's build. For now, we were going to have to make it look like they all died in the fire until we could get the evidence we needed to get Endeavor for this. I hope it doesn't take too long. I tell Recovery Girl to keep the pregnancy secret.

It takes most of the night to get the fire out and finally we take away Inkos body along with the two fakes. We found her still in her bed. It seems the fire started in the hallway upstairs next to the bedrooms blocking anyone's escape. It was deemed suspicious and thankful down as a murder investigation.

I stayed until the very last cop car and Fire engine left before going to our meetup spot. When I went in I found Toshinori sitting on the floor crying holding Izuku who had cried himself to sleep after hearing of his mother's death. Toshinori looked at me as I came in and I shook my head.

"It was him, wasn't it? He murdered my wife. He tried to murder my son and grandchild. I'm going to kill him." he spat. I have never seen Toshinori so angry, if it wasn't for his son in his arms I don't think I could stop him from trying, quirk or no quirk. I wake Izuku up so I can talk to both of them.

"We found Inko, she was still in bed. Recovery Girl said she passed away before the fire got to her. Endeavor will stop at nothing if he knows you are alive. We need to get you out of the county to safety while we build our case against him. We have made it look like all of you died in the fire. I have called in every favor I can and I got you new identities and a private plane. For safety reasons I don't know what your identities are or where you are going. But know this. One way or another that bastard will get what's coming for him I promise you that. But now I'm going to have to ask you to do the hardest thing." I put both my hands on Izuku's face and stare at his red eyes.

"You both need to go get on that plane now. You can't say goodbye to anyone. You cannot contact anyone. Ever. If he ever finds out you are alive he might try to kill you and your baby again or he might try to kill Shoto. Do you understand? I'm so sorry Izuku. I promise when it's safe I will bring Shoto to you." I say as tears spill out over my face as I see his heartbreak all over again. He nods and I help him up, giving him and Toshinori a tight hug. I watch as Hizashi leaves with them before I break down.

I pull myself together and head to the dorms. I leave a message telling Shoto to go straight to the dorms as I need to talk urgently. The last thing I need is him finding out from someone else. I wake everyone up and gather them in the common room and wait for Shoto to arrive.
