Yay, it's Monday. Note the sarcasm. And just like ever other Monday, I have to go to school and be tortured by the never-ending lectures from the oh so monotonous teachers. Ugh. But at least today is the last day of school.
"Honey, you're going to miss the bus!" my mom's loud voice rang throughout the house.
"Be down in a sec, mom," I replied.
Why's she always in a rush? It's always "you'll be late for this" "you'll be late for that" and we always have plenty of time. Like we have ten minutes before the bus comes still. Oh well, whatever will get her to shut up.
"Thanks for being so quick. And please notice my sarcasm. You need to start hurrying up, little lady. Anyway, come on. We have to leave now."
"OK, let me grab my bookbag."
Wow, this thing weighs too much. There should be a law against having a bookbag this heavy.
"Honey, come on!" Now my mom sounded annoyed.
"Coming!" I yelled.
And out the door we go. We got to the bus stop right on time.
"Bye. Have a good day at school! Love you." She blew invisible kisses at me.
I shook my head, "Yep, seeya later." But what I didn't know was that I really wouldn't.
