He looked over at me with apology in his eyes.

"Well, we're gonna tell you tonight," his eyes went back to the road.

AS soon as Wes told me, emotions flooded me. Happiness, worry, grief, and the list goes on. I didnt know how to feel. It was like I was twenty different people all in one body. It was overwhelming.

I didnt speak. I didnt smile, cry, get mad or anything. I just looked out the window trying to process my feelings.

"So.." Wes's voice drifted off.

"So," I said back awkwardly. I didnt know what he was going to say.

"You wanna talk about something other than my identity?" he paused, "Keaton, maybe?" He giggled once again. He always thought his little jokes were funny.

I averted my eyes away from the window and looked him straight in the eyes. "Shut up," I laughed and punched his shoulder.

"Aww, Cat's got a wittle crush," he said in a little baby's voice.

I felt my face get hot. Oh God, he's definitely going to say something about this.

"Aw, you're blushing." I knew he'd say something. I turned back around to the window, crossed my arms and pretended to pout.

It was silent for a minute and then I heard his body move to look over at me. I knew he felt bad and this was going to be perfect.

"Come on, Cat. I was just kidding. Kinda. I didnt mean to make you mad though," he sounded sad. It took everything in mew to keep from laughing.

I remained staring out the window. I heard him look back at the road. As soon as he did I yelled, "Gotcha!' I laughed so hard. I hadnt laughed that hard in ages.

You could see the defeat on his face, "Okay, you, my friend, are extremely good at that," he smiled.

At about that time, we pulled into this huge parking lot. And in front of us was the biggest mall I'd ever seen in my life. My mouth dropped open.

Wes parked the car and we both got out. He leaned over the top of his car and looked at me.

"Welcome to Atlanta," Wes gestured with his arm and a big smile on his face.

"Wow," that's all I could manage to get out.

He ran over to my side and hooked our arms together. "Let's go shopping!" he pretended to brush hair off his shoulder like a diva.

I laughed,"Let's go." We walked up to the huge mall's sidewalk.

"Where to first, my lady," Wes looked down at me. I stood and took everything in.

There was a huge, elegant water fountain in the middle of it all. Gorgeous trees and plants in every nook and cranny. The sun was shining and it was hot outside.

"What is there?" I finally asked. I looked up to him.

"Just about anything," he said, still watching me.

"Is there an American Eagle?" I questioned.

"You bet. It's huge, man." With our arms still locked together, Wes pulled me in the direction of the store.

We passed all kinds of people on our way there. there was a lot of diversity and I liked it.

We finally got there after what seemed like forever. We stepped inside the doorway and Wes said,"Lead me, queen." He got down on one knee and gestured inside.
