Black spots appeared in the sky. More and more appeared every second. Soon it was pitch black and I was no longer concious.

--------

I opened my eyes. Correction, tried to open my eyes, but immediately shut them because the light was so bright.

I was no longer in my room at John's house. I was in a basement.

I could here water dripping from the ceiling. All I saw around me were dark walls, a single light hanging from a rope above me, and the wood stairs leading to a door I assumed.

All of a sudden, I felt a pang of cold shot through my side. I was laying on a metal bed. My skin must have touched it. I went to pull my shirt down, but I realized I didn't have a shirt on. Even if I did have a shirt on, I wouldn't have been able to pull it down anyway because my hands were tied to the metal bars.

Being tied up was one of my worst fears. My heart started racing as questions zoomed through my head. Why am I tied up? Why do I not have a shirt on? Where am I? How long have I been out? As my brain kept regurgitating questions, I heard the door open.

My eyes shot over to the steps. They creaked with every step the unknown figure took. My eyes followed it as it came closer and closer until it stepped into the light. John, of course it was him.

"Oh, sweet, sweet Catherine," he laughed. I tried to throw my arm at him.

It obviously didn't work and I cringed at the burning in my wrists. He laughed at my efforts. "You're such a child."

"You're disgusting!" I screamed at him. Suddenly it occurred to me that I was shirtless. A wave of insecurity washed over me. I tried to look down at my body but I could get my head to tilt that far. I felt the need to cover myself, but I couldn't. My efforts were useless right now.

John saw me look down at myself and like the pervert he was, looked me up and down. "You sure do have your mothers body," his face was blank. My eyes started to water, but I reminded myself that I had to be strong. No tears.

I gritted my teeth. My anger was piling up inside me. "What did you do to me?" I kept my teeth clenched together. After a few seconds of silence, I couldn't handle it anymore. "What did you DO TO ME?!" It started as a low mumble and ended in me yelling.

He stayed silent for another few seconds. Then he began, "Let's just say you don't have your V card anymore." His thin lips formed into a smile then he began to laugh.

Okay, I know I told myself I had to be strong, but no one could not cry right now. I had just lost my virginity to some old pervert unwillingly and unconscious. I think I'm allowed to cry.

"So how do you like your new room?" he smiled at me like nothing was wrong. I wanted to blow up on him so bad, but I have to stay calm even while the tears are coming out of my eyes.

Stay calm, Cat, stay calm. It look a deep breath to stop the tears. "So where are we?" I asked casually.

He coughed. "Same place. Just ten feet below." He coughed again.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked him. His coughing was out of the ordinary.

He looked at me. "It's nothing." His reply was fast. Something was wrong, but he wasn't going to tell me.

I gave him a look that told him I didn't believe him. "So can you get these off my wrists?" I acted as cool as I could. It was key to me getting out.

He hesitated at first, but eventually started untying me. "You're lucky I'm doing this," he whispered in my ear. It sent a cold chill through my body, but I still stayed calm.

"Thank you," I muttered.

"What was that?" he asked. I knew he heard me. He just wanted to torture me some more.

"Thank you," I said clearer and louder. He finally finished untying my hands. I brought them down and twisted them around. They were stiff. But I guess that'll happen when your tied up for who knows how long.

I stood up to stretch. John grabbed my arm. I gave him a questioning look. "What? I'm just stretching." He let go. I walked around the room. "So we're just underneath the cabin?" I asked.

He nodded. I continued to walk around. His eyes stayed locked on me the whole time. His body was position so that he was able to move at any given moment if I we're start running.

I stopped at the stairs and looked up at the door. "It's locked," he said from behind me.

I turned around to him. "Can we go up? I'm hungry and I want to be in the old room." He hesitated once again, but started to walk up the stairs.

He started to unlock he door but looked back at me. "Do you promise?" I nodded.

"I promise," I said nonchalantly. He turned back around and unlocked the door. He opened it and there we were right across the hall from my old room.

"Well, here it is," he gestured towards the other room. "I guess I'll go make you some food." He walked away and left me in the hall. I went into my room and grabbed a shirt to put on.

Okay, time to start planning.

My plan would've worked last time if I hadn't given in. So I could try something like that again, but that'd be predictable. I wonder if he covered up the secret door.

I walked outside the room and down the hall to the door. Surprisingly, it was as if just yesterday I'd run away. This is amazing. I've never been so lucky.

I looked back down the hall to make sure he wasn't standing right there. There was no sign of him. I started to open the door expecting it to creek, but instead the loudest alarm I've ever heard went off.

"I KNEW IT!" I heard John yell from the kitchen. My eyes widened as I saw him come around the corner.

Quickly I flung the door open and started running down the tunnel.

I ran and ran and ran. No thoughts, no listening, nothing. I just ran. I couldn't be stopped.

I knew I had to keep running, so I did. I ran until I reached the door at the end. I flung it open and ran out. I stopped after a few seconds.

Memories flooded my mind. I tried hard to push them back, but it was useless.

I screamed. "Stop! Stop, stop, stop, stop!" I yelled.

I fell to the ground. I cried for what seemed like hours, but was only a minute. My mind reminded me that John was coming after me. Unfortunately, I had to go. I couldn't stay there. He'd find me.

I started running again until I reached the backyard where I'd once met Jesse. John's granddaughter. She was so nice and welcoming and he was so malicious and disgusting.

Once again I reminded myself I couldn't stand there forever, but before I started running again I said, "Thanks for everything, Jesse." With that, I ran as fast as I could in the direction of the RV.

The only things that kept me from giving up were the boys. They were my family now and I needed them.

After a few minutes of running with a blank mind, I'd suddenly realized how close I was to the alley. I was only a few hundred yards away. I was going to make it!

I picked up my pace. Inside my head, I knew I was going to make it and that everything would be okay.

I should be there in five ... four ... three ... two ... one. I turned the corner into the alley where the RV was.

The alley was empty.
