A while later she was rolled out to a ward in the C wing of the hospital and we followed her there.

I then entered into her room and sat beside her

" Esmee baby. Its mom. I'm here for you, you're not alone." I then proceeded to hold her hand and she gave it a little squeeze.

" Did you see that she squeezed my hand. Quick go and call the doctor!" I told Ivy, my eyes darting to Esmee intermittently. Ivy rushed through the door in search of the doctor and I breathe in and out.

EDMUND'S POV

I walk into the suffocating hospital, the strong smell of drugs and spirits waft through my nose and I grimace at the feeling. I wasn't dressed very much, though. Just the casual joggers and a black hoodie. After, talking to the receptionist, I make my way up the stairs.

I was shocked to say the least when I heard about my sister's accident. It wasn't fatal, luckily enough but she still sustained mild injuries.

"Where's the doctor?!" A girl yelled and I swear, I could feel the pain laced with her tone, so much that I had to turn. I was faced with a slim tall girl, who honestly looked more like a child than that of a teenager. Her facial features were immaculate and precise. She had a semi round face shape and doe eyes with thin pink lips and a small nose in the middle.  She was pretty but no where near Esmee. Why did she look a tad bit familiar? I'll never know.

"The doctor that's in charge of Esmee Collins?!" She wailed, looking like a mad woman running through the halls. I'm pretty sure that's not allowed in hospitals. Wait. Esmee's in the hospital.

I sure wasn't going to follow her, of course!  I was just going to check on her.

The elevator dinged open and I rushed in with them, with my hands in my pocket. Once we were in front of the door, the girl noticed that I didn't stop following them.

"Edmund?" She called out to me. How does she know my name? Shit I'm popular, that's why.

"Are you here for Esmee?"

"Uh..Y-Yes" I smiled at her as the lie rolled of my tongue.

I then followed behind her as she ran. Then i saw her there. Looking lifeless and pale. The roses she had in her cheeks were now gone. She was engulfed with the smell of the hospital but then I noticed the rising and falling of her chest. She was still alive but was covered with stitches, bandages and a cast on her hand. Then my eyes trailing to her stomach and I saw a large bandage on her side. It was clear that she had surgery. I don't know why but it pricked my heart I felt this sadness in my heart: such a weird feeling.

" Edmund! what are you doing? can't you hear me!!?" she yelled at me

Truly I couldnt hear any word that she said, I was too engulfed in grief to even pay attention to her. All that mattered to me at that point was this tiny person laying on the hospital bed unconscious. I just wanted her in my arms. I wish I could sit by her side and stroke her hair, but I couln't. I could never let anyone in. It's just too dangerous. So I turned around and left her room without saying a word.
