But I'm Not A Wolf

Addison, Allie, and I meet the wolves in the library. All day, everyone's been keeping me away from Wyatt and the wolves. I hated it because people would come up to me and ask if Wyatt and I are dating and I felt crowded.

"Y/N. How's school for you so far?" Wyatt asks as we sit down at a table.

"Not so great. People keep asking if we're dating." I say and he nods.

"Same. That's what I need to talk to you about. We both like each other, so do you think we could?" He asks and I nod. He smiles and I blush. Willa sits down next to us and gets angry.

"Lies!" She says slamming the book closed. "These say that werewolves attack the settlers, but the settlers attacked first and stole something from us." She says getting angrier.

"The moonstone." I say and all the wolves stop and look at me.

"You know about the moonstone?" Wyatt asks and I nod.

"Yeah. No one at school believes me that there's a moonstone, but I know there is." I say and Willa smiles.

"We wolves work great together." Wyatt says and I look at him confused.

"But I'm not a wolf." I say and he raises his eyebrows at me. 

"Hmm." He says before he grabs my hand and drags me out of the school with the other wolves.

"Get on my back. We'll get there faster." He says and I get on not even questioning it. He takes off and I notice that he runs really fast. I hold on tighter and bury my face in his neck. We get to the middle of the forest within seconds of leaving the school. "We're here." He says and I look around.

"Oh." I say and Wyatt laughs.

"That means you can get off now." He says and Wynter laughs a little. I get off and look at the ground embarrassed.

"Welcome." Wynter says and I smile. "But not too welcome." She growls after. She starts coughing which makes her eyes and necklace glow green.

"Wynter." Willa says rushing over to her. "Our pack is getting sicker and sicker because our necklaces are losing their charge. We need to find the moonstone Y/N." Willa explains when she sees my confused look.

"Follow us. Please." Wyatt says before heading after Willa and Wynter. I follow Wyatt closely and then we stop at the entrance to a glowing blue cave.

"Welcome to the wolf den." Wyatt says and my jaw drops. "It's okay to be impressed." He whispers to me and I smile. He kisses my cheek before walking in. I follow him in and I hear growls from some werewolves. I feel all their eyes shift to me. I turn around ready to leave, but Wyatt stops me.

"One more step in and they'll tear me to shreds." I whisper to him. He laughs and turns me around. He wraps his arms around me and it makes me feel protected.

"Wolves. Back off. She's not a threat to us. Her name is Y/N. She's harmless." Wyatt says and I playfully elbow him. He laughs and kisses the top of my head. Wyatt lets go of me and I walk around. So this is the wolf den. Awesome.
