I was in the woods alone hunting for food its been three months and some people in the group didn't like me going out, but I kept leaving and then showing up at the front gate it got to the point where they would rather know when I left. My birthday passed a few days ago as well so I was 12. Looking to my left I thought I saw something fortunately I did it was a rabbit taking my pistol that Carley taught me to use I aimed it, and when I was about to pull the trigger until I heard screaming getting up I ran towards the direction of the scream.

Lee, Mark, were there and in front of them were three guys in front of us one being in a bear trap.

Mark: Jesus Christ...

???: Oh shit! No.no... Please don't kill us! We just want to help our teacher we'll leave I swear!

Kenny: Lee! Y/N! You guys okay?

???: Get it off! Get it off, God dammit, get it off of me!!

???: Travis maybe they can help?

Travis: These could be the same guys that raided our camp... And we barely git away from that!

Lee: Its okay we're not going to hurt you.

Travis: Don't listen to them Ben! Please, just let us go! We're not a threat to you!

Y/N: If you were you would be armed not begging for your lives you'd be a threat.

Ben: Please try to get him out! After that you can leave us or whatever I don't care please!

Lee: We'll try!

???: Oh God, thank you!

Mark went to check the trap as as the rest of us kept our guard up.

Mark: Guys this traps been altered. Theres no release latch.

Travis: Oh no.

Looking up there were walkers closing in on us.

Kenny: Shit! Walkers! Its now or never Lee.

???: Please get me out of this!!

Lee: Mark get the boys back! Kenny keep those walkers off of me, and Y/N see if you can help me out!

Y/N: Try prying it with the axe!

Lee tried to pry it with the axe only for it to be unsuccessful he went to cut the chain swinging the axe a few times.

Matk: Forget that! We use chain like that to lift ordnance at the air force base. You're not cutting through that!

Only one last option came to mind.

Y/N: The only way he's getting out is to chop off his leg.

???: What no anything but that! Try the chain again!

Lee swung down cutting into the guys leg as he screamed I pulled out my pistol and shot a few walkers, until Lee was finished.

Travis: Oh, god! Grrk...

Mark: Shit. Is he...

Lee: He passed out.

Y/N: pick him up we gotta go.

Mark picked him up and we started moving, then I heard a scream.

Ben: TRAVIS!

I kept moving not looking back.

Through the trees I could see the motor inn and Lee got ahead of everyone else to open the gates.

Lee: Get the gates open! We've got wounded.

Lilly didn't look happy and Lee started opening the gates with Mark carrying the body. People were talking over each other so I walked to Mia who was drawing, and I went over to her as I got close she noticed me got up and Gave me a hug.
