As soon as we finish eating he turns and faces me.
"So, do you have any siblings?"
"Yeah, three sisters."
"Is that one?" He glances over my shoulder, and sure enough Juliette was coming over the hill. Then she pauses.
"Is this the new neighbor?"
"Yeah, yeah it is."
"Hey, I'm Darek."
"Juliette" She gives him a quick once-over. "Marie, dad was worried, but I guess you're in good hands. I'll tell him you're fine."
"Thanks Jewls!" Darek, I like that. He slips an arm around me and pulls me close.
"So Marie, I know we just met, but I really like you and I hope that one day we will be together."
"I'm sure we will." Then I move back into his arms. "I'm sure we will."
