Raya and Sisu had just escaped from Fang and onto the boat. "Hello? Is anybody here?" Raya asked. Suddenly they were both placed on seats next to a table. "Welcome to the world-famous Shrimp-orium. My name is Boun. And this is Y/N. We'll be your servers today. Would you like to hear our daily specials?" Bonu asked. "Yes, please!" Sisu replied excitedly. "We got shrimp, we got congee. We got a shrimp congee that won't quit." You said.
The captain, where is the captain?" Raya asked. "Let me go get them." You and Boun began to walk away until you both turned around. "What's up, my new customers? I'm Captain Boun, and this is Captain Y/N. The owners, chefs, and chief financial officers of the Shrimp-orium. How can we help you?" "Well, I'm Sisu and..." Sisu began. "And we need to get to Talon now." Raya said. "I'm sorry. The Shrimp-orium is not a water taxi." You said before your eyes brightened as Raya showed the jade to you. "Toi, that's a lot of jade!" Bonu said. Raya pulled it away. "Half now, half when we arrive in Talon. Deal?" She asked. You and Bonu took a few. "Clasp onto your congee. Today's special is... to go." You said. Bonu grabbed the sweets away from Tuk Tuk before he grabbed the stick to push the boat off the port. "Uh, Captain Boun? Does this thing go any faster?" You shot Raya a glare. You then gasped as you saw Fang approaching. "Whoa! You didn't tell us Fang was after you! This is gonna cost you extra!" Bonu said, "Don't worry, I got it." Sisu jumped into the water as she changed back to her dragon form. "What is she doing?" Boun asked. She then went under the boat and began to move it quickly.
"What is happening?!" You asked. "My friend's a really strong swimmer." Raya said. Raya looked around for Sisu who was swimming. "Sisu? Sisu? Please get out of there." Sisu popped up from the river. "I'm a water dragon. This is water. It's sort of my thing. You wanna come in?" "Someone could see you." "Oh. Do you mean Captain Pop and Lock over there and his little girlfriend? What, are you scared they're gonna challenge me to a dance battle?" You and Boun were making music as you cooked food for them. "Sisu, I saw people lose their minds over a Dragon Gem. Can you imagine what they'd do over an actual dragon? Look, we need you to make this all work. Until we have all the gems, you have to stay human. Please." "Wow, you really got some trust issues." Sisu pointed out. "Look, my father blindly trusted people, and now, he's stone." Sisu turned human as she climbed back on the boat. "Hey, we'll get your ba back. I got you. Come on, who's your dragon? I mean, human. Because I'm gonna be a human until... Yeah, you... You get it." Raya smiled. Suddenly they sat down on the chair as you and Boun finished cooking. "Okay, who's hungry?" You poured the congee on three bowls before he sprinkled the vegetable and porks on it. "Oh, I am!" Sisu said. "Three house specials. How spicy would you like it? Hot, hotter, or Boun-goes-the-dynamite?!" Boun showed the pots of spicy before placed them down. You chuckled. "Bring on the heat!" Sisu said.
Raya quickly grabbed her bowl away. "Yeah, not yet, Sisu. I don't think so." She then lightly began to analyze it. "Uh, What are you doing?" Sisu asked. "We don't know them. It could be poison." She whispered. "Why would they poison us?" Sisu asked. "Yeah, why would we poison you?" You asked. "First, to get my jade purse, second, to steal my sword, and third, I don't know, to kidnap my Tuk Tuk." Tuk Tuk stopped eating. "All good points, but if this is poison..." Bonu then took a sip of his food, showing you that it was safe to eat. "...you're gonna die happy." "Yeah, thanks, but we got our own eats." Raya picked the jerky as she struggled to eat it. She turned her gaze to see Sisu eating . "This is delicious. By the way, not poison." She added Boun's hottest spicy on her congee before took a sip. "But it's... It's hot. Ooh, it's hot! "It's hot! It's really hot! Oh, my! Oh! Water! Boun? Y/N? Captain Boun? Captain Y/N? We need water on deck!" She said.
Raya glared at the Druun as she sharpened her sword with the rock. Tuk Tuk whined. "I know, buddy." Raya tried to comfort him as she patted his head "You know, during the day," they turned to you as you rowed the boat. "You can almost forget they're here, but at night..." you then looked at the Druun before you continued. "This is why we never leave the boat." "You're smart kids." Raya said. "What are Druun, anyways?" Bonu asked. "A plague. Born from human discord." You turned to Sisu who hugged her knees. "They've always been here. Waiting for a moment of weakness to attack. They're like the opposite of dragons. Instead of bringing water and life to the world, they're like a relentless fire that consumes everything in its wake until there's nothing left except ash and stone." Sisu said. "They took our families." You said. "They took mine, too." Sisu said as she picked four flowers up and dropped them in the river. You and Boun approached her side as you both picked the flowers and dropped them in the river too.
Raya inhaled deeply as she watched you and the rest mourning. She then went to your left side as she picked one flower meant for her father and lifted it to her head before she let it flow along with others. You noticed the faint light up ahead, meaning that you were close to Talon. "So, where are you guys heading after Talon? We might be heading there, too." Bonu said. They smirked before you continued. "I mean, for a fee, of course." Raya laughed playfully as she replied. "Of course."
~Talon ~
"Wow! What a smart way to Druun-proof your house. Build right on the water. People of Talon are geniuses." Sisu said as you, her and Raya came out of the boat. "Yeah. Talon may look nice, but it's a hotspot for pickpockets and con artists." Raya said. "Lucky for me. Empty pockets!" Sisu said as she showed you the her pockets. "Okay, so here's the good news. We know where the gem piece is. The bad news? It's being held by the notorious Chief of Talon, Dang Hai. What Dang Hai lacks in style, he makes up in mean." "Gotcha. Now, we're just gonna have to turn up the charm. Let's go get him a gift." Raya quickly stopped her. "Sisu, I think maybe it's safer for you to stay here on the boat." "What?" Sisu asked. "Without you, we can't put the gem back together." Raya pointed out. "But I wanna help." "I know, and you will. By staying safe. I'll be back before you know it." Raya said. "If you see any hungry faces, send'em our way." Boun requested as he finished tieing the rope. "You got it, Captains." Raya said as she went into town."This is giving me bad feels. Chief Dang Hai does not sound like someone you can smooth talk. And Raya didn't even bring a gift." She smiled as she got an idea. That's it! I'm going shopping!" She then realized. "Oh, wait. I don't have any money." She said. "You're an adult. You can just put in on credit." You said. Sisu turned and looked at you. "Oh. What's credit?" She asked. "It's kind of like a promise. You take what you want now, and you promise you'll pay it back later." Bonu explained. "Pay it back later? What an amazing concept. Thanks, Captains." She said.
