Marshall's P.o.v
It had been a few days and the pain was still constant, and near crippling. I tried to ignore it though. It took every ounce of courage and strength I had left to keep myself away from the Candy Kingdom and, more importantly, Bubba each day. If he didn't want me, I would not force myself on him.
I sighed and sat on my couch, strumming my Axe guitar again. It was one of the only things I could do that hurt the least. Maybe the only thing besides breathing. I felt like something was going to happen, so I changed my clothes and showered for the first time since the incident, wanting to look presentable.
All of a sudden a door popped up in my house and one of those creatures, A door master, popped out. I could hear yelling from where it came from. I stood up and hissed, trying to hit it with my Axe. It opened another door and left. I tried to go after it, ignoring the people that entered my home.
The sun burned me from the open door and I hissed, backing up immediately. Globdamned, I have to go get my hat and gloves now.
"Marshall! Are you okay?" Fiona asked. A flash of pain sparked in my chest but I pushed it away, turning around to face her and Cake who was no doubt by her side with a smirk on my face. I was not expecting the other person I saw though, but my pain lessened when I saw them and registered that they were near me.
"I'm fine Fi. Hello Bubba." I said. He nodded curtly and pain flashed again. He was being so cold...but I have to deal with it.
They all went through the door and I grumbled, flying upstairs and grabbing my hat and gloves, slipping them on and flying back downstairs. I Flew through the door and registered that we were in a rocky clearing and there was a door with many faces on it. I chuckled as they all started conversing. I read the message.
It said something about only being able to open the door with music and...I couldn't really read it. I chuckled again.
"What did I tell you Bubba? I told you that they would prove a problem if you didn't eliminate them all, but you just had to keep one around. Look where that got us." I called out, floating closer. The ache in my chest was slowly dulling the closer I got, and I was falling into my old routine of teasing him. He glared at me as a slight blush dusted his cheeks. I smiled. Ah, there's the Bubba I know and love.
"Sh-Shut up Marshall. No one asked you." He said. Aww, I made him embarrassed.
We all were stumped. We tried a few songs but none worked, the door barely glowing. After Bubba made a flop short circuiting the little game controller thing of Fiona's, I groaned.
"We are getting no where! We have taken a break and tried songs, none even coming close to working! The sun is almost gone!" I yelled, getting frustrated. Honestly, the only reason I stayed was to be with Bubba.
"Well if you think you can do better, why don't you try Marshall?!" Bubba asked, and I smirked.
"Gladly." I said, and I started playing a few chords of a melody I was working on. I floated up and started singing.
(I don't own the song. It belongs to its creators. Continue)
La da da da da
I'm gonna bury you in the ground.
La da da da da
I'm gonna bury you with my sound.I'm gonna drink the red
From your
Pretty pink face.
I'm gonna-"Marshall lee that is too distasteful!" Bubba interrupted, a blush on his face. I frowned. All of what he said the last time I saw him and of how he acted hit me and I felt that pain return. My face formed into a sneer.
