not a walk in the park (pt. 1)

Neither Taylor or I had come out to anyone yet. Taylor's situation is a lot different than mine, if she were to come out or tell anyone that we were dating, it could ruin her career. Of course I think it's important to be yourself, no matter what others have to say but I can't make her do something she's not comfortable with or ready to do. Besides, I haven't told anyone about myself either. 

We've known each other for a couple months but have only been dating for around 4 weeks. We haven't been able to go on a proper date outside of our houses because of the paparazzi and whatnot but at around midnight today we're going to try and take a walk around a park together.

 Hopefully, there isn't anyone there. I mean, it'll be midnight, why would anyone be there? Still, Taylor is very anxious about it all. 

"y/n I just don't know if I can do it. I really really like you and I don't want you to have to suffer because I'm too scared to go take a walk around a stupid park with you." she's sitting on the floor with her head in her hands you wrap an arm around her, placing your head on her shoulder 

"I told you, I don't want you to do anything you're not ready to do. We both knew what being in a relationship together would mean, I'm more than willing to give you all the time in the world." you kiss the top of her head making her let out a small giggle she lifts her head up to look you in the eyes 

"How did I get so lucky?" You both laugh at how cheesy that sounded. You silently stare into each others eyes for a while, smiling 

"I love you" Taylor's eyes open wide, realizing what she had just said Your smile gets even bigger and you tackle her in a hug 

"I love you too"

the two of you are sitting in the car, her soft hand in yours. You're parked near the park and there doesn't seem to be anyone there. 

"ready?" you whisper to her 

she takes a deep breath "ready."

 you get out of the car together and begin wandering around the park. Taylor is a little tense at first but eventually gets comfortable. The two of you are laughing and having a good time, forgetting about all your worries. 

This may seem like such a small and normal thing but its a huge step for you guys and you couldn't be happier than you are to be here right now. 

Way too soon, it's time to head home. 

You drop taylor off at her place but not before planting a big kiss on her lips. "Goodnight.." you look at the time and see that its 2:30am "..or morning? whatever. I love you" she laughs at you

 "I love you too" she kisses you once more before practically skipping off to her front door. you shake your head at her, a big smile still on your face. 

You wait for her to get inside before driving home.
