Chapter 5: Cat Boy

As Connor watched the van speed away, owlette burst into tears and gekko shat himself, again. Connor scowled, unsure what Adrien thought he was doing. They were supposed to be allies. Apparently, Adrien didn't know that Connor could leak his identity any second. But he wouldn't. He didn't want his identity revealed either.

He and the other kids began the long journey home. As they walked, Connor asked Manon, chris, and baby august if they wanted to join the PJ Masks. They eagerly agreed. They started planning costumes and stuff like that. Connor and Adrien were now at war. It took them 4 hours to get home, but it was still night, and their unobservant as heck parents didn't know they were gone.

Once he had dropped everyone off at their houses like a big boy he walked in his house and found his mum's calendar. His eyes widened. Adrien was babysitting him tomorrow after preschool. That was in exactly 7 hours. He needed to come up with a plan, and quick.

He ran out of preschool with amaya and greg and jumped in his mum's car. The first part of his plan required Amaya and Greg to come to Adrien's house with him. The children played on their musty crusty dusty ipads that had those cases that miraculously matched their super hero colors as Connor's mom drove them.

When they finally got there, the kids jumped out of the car and practically knocked over gorilla man running into the house.🌞🌝

They ran up the stairs and halted as they heard music coming from Adrien's room. Connor glanced back at his friends and said, "wtf."

Amaya cautiously opened the door and saw adrien on his bed. He was laying there holding a phone reading something and crying as Heat Waves by Glass Animals played at full blast. After a minute or so, Adrien turned around and saw the children standing there, staring at him. He jumped up quickly and shut off the music. He had apparently been laying too long, because when he stood up, his legs gave out and he smacked his head against the bed frame. Oops! 😂

Adrien then stood. "Connor why are you here like you're 20 minutes early. And why are the other pajama kids here too."

"First of all, how do you recognize Amaya and Greg without their suits? Second, we are the PJ Masks you idiot. Third they are here because we need to talk. We are at war."

"ok"

"Tonight we will come and watch you and the red bug fight a villain. We already have our villain."

Adrien raised an eyebrow. "Bruh thats not how that works..."

"Oh trust me, we have a villain."

Connor noticed Adrien's eye had started to twitch again. "Hold on a second," Adrien said as he walked to the bathroom and closed the door. The children heard a massive crash that sounded like something hitting the wall hard and shattering. Adrien then walked back out with a massive fake smile that really just screamed "help me😃".

"Ok guys," Adrien said, still wearing that smile. "We are going to the park."

"Hooray!" the children screamed and Adrien grimaced.

"One more thing before we go," Connor said. "What the heck were you reading earlier?"

Adrien turned bright red and simply replied, "heat waves."
