Emerald colors rippled across the water, shining bright, a beacon of light in the dark of the night.
Her feet danced amongst the wet grass, each blade glistening with dewdrops, a cool sensation against the warmth of her pale skin.
Leaping through the air, hands above her head, legs held apart into the perfect split as she hovered in the air, head thrown back, the crisp breeze blowing back her hair, caressing her skin.
Moving rapidly amongst the leaves, she twirled and frolicked, lost in her own world.
Dancing in the night, at the edge of the lake, beckoning her to step into the icy cold waters, to lose herself amidst the darkness.
Memories swirling around her, each one begging to be watched, to be remembered.
And yet she continued dancing, the only thing she could see being the moon, hung up high, looking down on her with fond eyes, the pure white beams illuminating her path as she pivoted, face completely serene as she watched the celestial orb above her.
The eyes followed her, golden and tan hues clashing together as the deer watched, entranced. Pupils dilated, her own amber eyes trained on the moon, heat rushing through her body, exhilaration filling up every part of her.
Finally pausing, panting hard, face tilted up, leaning into the moon's light, she waited, breath bated.
Until finally the moon shone down, brighter than ever, washing her over with a cold yet gentle shiver, as she felt the rays climb up her, building up inside.
Hands trembling, lips quivering, she stood tall, waiting, barely flinching as her insides burned, twisting around, white-hot pain flashing through her limbs as the light gathered inside, pushing out.
And out came the wings; giant, feathery masses, a glossy sheen covering the pure white feathers as they flapped, rustling and fluttering around.
Her lips turning up, a smile gracing her face, she leapt off the cliff, wings spreading out, soaring through the dark; a pair of angel-white wings, mounting higher, twirling around, standing out amongst the shimmering stars and night sky as she escaped the world, climbing up, towards peace.
Come and fly away with me.
