The Journey to Mythical Glory

CHAPTER 1- THE BEGINNING

“Shou! Shou!” said by Mr. Shinji called the young girl in a hurry manner. “Yes, Mr. Shinji?”She asked curiously. “My son, Fuiko! Please help him.”He said and they ran towards where the boy was.

“What... Is... That?”She asked in shock. The people from Chi Village had gathered to see the beast.

“I honestly don't know. But it came from the mountains according to the tracks it left.”Mr. Shinji said. “A demon looking, four armed man with wings of skeletons... There are other people like me?!”She said to herself.

“Please stand back everyone. If possible, go to a safer place. I'll handle this.”She warned the Villagers.

The people did what they were told and she then took of her clothes. “Hey Beast! Want a load of this?”She said and made a bow and arrow appear on her hand.

“Pretty... I'll make sure you'll be wreck!”The beast said as he throw the boy on to the ground and approached Shou.

She licked the tip of the arrow then shot it to the beast. But the beast didn't die yet. She was surprised.

“I see... Why are you here?”Shou asked, trying to interrogate the beast. “To taste women!”He proudly said.

Then tried to grab Shou, failed. “Oops! Not so fast...” She said then jumped to climb his nape.

She then made another arrow but this time, she used it to stab the beast's head to chin.

“Ugh! Dumb Hoe!”She said to herself. She realized that she shouldn't have killed the beast yet. She needs to know if there are more people like her.

The small Village of Chi is from an area where only 12 families live. Peaceful and quite.

In that village, the fifth family, Izanami, has a daughter. Cunning, bright, and powerful. Her name was Izanami Shou.

The village knows Shou as a helpful and curious young lady. She's resourceful and reliable.

Her ability is also known by the villagers for she uses it to help them. The ability to create things familiar to her or if she knows the purpose.

She uses her energy and imagination to create these things. Though she cannot make any living creature or things such as insects or plants.

She was adored by both men and women in the village because she's not just pretty, but also very smart and strong.

“Chief, what should we do with the corpse?”Asked by Mr. Shinji.“Call Izanami Shou immediately.”The chief, Mr. Kimura said.

She was called and was brought inside the meeting room. “Good evening Chief Kimura.”She said and gave respect to the elder.

“Young Lady, do you perhaps know what is that beast or where did this  beast had come from?”He asked her. “I'm sorry Chief, but I have no idea.”She said.

“Well, I have a mission for you.”He said. She sat up straight and then nods. “Find out where this beast had come from. And eliminate every single one of them.”He said.

She was shocked about the mission. She didn't expected that he would go a little farther for this. She's not scared, but worried.

What about the village? If another one comes? What about her family?

“I'm sorry Chief, but could you give me a time to think about it?”She said.

“I understand, yes... But please, decide wisely.”He said to her.

That night, they've cut the head of the beast and burned the body.

“Shou! You don't have to worry about us!”Her father said. “But if I leave, who would protect you?”She asked. “Listen. I don't want you to end up like your mother.”He said as he sat down and leaned on the wall.

“What about mom? Is there something you're not telling me?”She asked. “She didn't die in an accident.”He said.

Slowly, tears are rolling down his cheeks. Once again, facing the painful reality that made his life miserable.

“She killed herself.”He said in a shaky voice. “But you said-” “No! It's not! She killed herself because of that ability she had!”He said.

It must've been so hard that he will now bring back the past.

“She was trying to save the people from the place she came from. She had the same mission as yours. Locate the beasts and kill them. But she did not go. Because she was afraid that the people will get harmed without her.”

“At that time, I was with you, here in the village. Your Mom, she refused to do the mission and ended up making  the beast go to their village. She killed one, they killed all. She survived but not for long.”

“She was telling herself that it was her fault why they all died, even your brother. They were killed. And so, she killed herself because she couldn't take it any longer.” Her dad said.

“I don't want to lose you, but I don't want you to suffer the same thing that your mother had experienced. I trust you enough that I know you are the future of this Village.”He said.

“But what about you? If I go...”She asked. Convinced that she should go. “All of the men here, they are former Soldier from the war. If you leave equipments we can use, we'll be good.”He said.

The next day, she took the mission, followed the beast's tracks and bid farewell to the Villagers.

“I will go now! Please take care of yourselves!”She said. “Please come back to us alive, dear!”Mrs. Hanoi said. “I will.”

When she walked away, her father suddenly called her. “Shou!”He called. When she turned back, her father ran towards her and gave her something.

“Here, keep this. It's your Mother's Gem. It'll take you back to us.”He said and the Gem suddenly was engraved in her forehead.

“I guess it really is you, the new owner of this Gem.”He said then hugged her one last time.

This is the first official story that I am going to publish here in this account. I am so happy that I can write again and the inspiration is flowing again.
