CHAPTER 4- TRUTH

“Why are we still going to the underworld?”Shou asked while being 'dragged' on the way to the Sacred Underworld.

“I already told you, We're going to pick up things on the eay there for you to be stronger...”Taro said annoyed.

“Ugh! It's so hot in there...”She nagged. “Use a spoon then.”He sarcastically said to her. “Seriously?”She said.

“Just come with me Alright?”He said to here, reassuring. “Fine! It's not like I have any choice.”She said.

“Are we there yet?”She asked. “Not yet...”He said. “Are we there yet?” “Not yet” “Are we there yet?” “Not yet!” “Are we-” “One more question if we are there already, I'm going to kiss you!”He said as he faces the girl following her.

Bothe of them got shocked on whay he said, but he actually didn't mean anything like that. He wasn't really actually planning to be that obvious.

He was actually going to say Kill instead of Kiss.

“Eh? Na- Na..Nani?”She asked nervously, head pounding, heart racing, stomach churning. “I didn't mean to say that... You were so! Ugh! You were annoying and-” “Ooh... So you're saying I'm annoying? Okay then, I'll shut up. But don't expect me to talk to you!”She said.

“Really? Ugh, I can't believe you! Why-” He was stop by someone shouting.

“You couple should stop arguing! You're ruining my beauty sleep!”A snake suddenly appeared and hissed at them.

“We are not a couple!”Shou and Taro said in unison. “I don't care! You two argue like a couple so shut it! Get some room!”The snake said then left.

“Ugh! You? Me? Us? Couple? No way! No in heaven's way am I going to end up with you!”Shou said.

“You mean, I'm that terrible?”Of course, Taro would feel offended. “I- uh... I... We gotta head out now you know? We have a long way ahead right? So we gotta keep going!”She said and suddenly started walking away.

She was thinking about how go say sorry to him, he knows that... He can read her mind freely.

“On our way, like I said, we have to pick things up. Get a pen and a paper to list it down.”He said.

“Why do we have to pick things up?”She asked. “Because we can't enter without those...”He explained. Then she created a pen and a paper.

“First, we have to get the Kusanagi no Tsurugi. To obtain it, we have to go to the Palace of Fujin  for it was the said location.”Taro said while Shou list it down.

“Second, the fruit of Kodama. Only The Kusanagi no Tsurugi can cut a fruit to it. The location is the Garden of Inari.”He then said.

“The fruit is what we're going to feed the Komainu which gurads the Ise Shrine. So we have to go to the Ise Shrine. When we have entered, we have get the lasso of Ruijin.”He continued.

“The lasso will be in good use for taking the boat to the Palace of Ryujin. There we will get the- Oh! Are you alright?”He stopped because Shou stumbled over a rock.

“Yeah, I'm okay. We should get going.”She stood up and brushed off the dust from her.

“I think we should stop for a while. We'll discuss it once we've already been rested”He said.

“Okay.”She answered. “It's getting dark, we should set up a tent now.”He said. “Aight... I got this.”She said then suddenly took off her clothes.

Taro got shocked then turned around. He thought she wasn't wearing anything, but actually she was wearing her bandages.

“N-NANI?!”he exclaimed. She just laughed. “Come on! I'm wearing something ya know...”She said and slowly he looked at her.

“Oh yeah, you are... You look like a Mummy...”He said then she created a paddle and hit him with it. “Ah! I was just telling my opinion!”He said when the paddle touched his skin.

“The stars are so pretty...” Shou said as they look at the sky while sitting around the bonfire. “Yeah... Very pretty”Taro said. Actually, he was staring at the girl who gazes at the beautiful night sky.

He felt a skip of a beat made by the girl he just met a few days ago. The daring girl who dared to kill the Creator Demon, the girl who wanted to become powerful to protect the people from her village, the girl who tied him because of the spilled takoyaki, the girl he was ordered to kill...
