𝗙𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 :: viii. | weak ( continuation of The Night )
The music started and that's when Chad started to sing Sunday Morning by Maroon 5. Of course when the time came, Haley jumped right in. As she did, she was stunned by how amazing Chad is as a singer. It was clear to say she was shocked by his voice. While they sang and laughed on stage together, Peyton and Lucas were talking.
"Who knew that bastard could sing." Nathan joined the two blondes at the bar, while mentioning Chad and not taking his eyes off his wife.
"He beat you in darts?" Lucas kept his eyes on stage as he asked Nathan.
"Every. Single. Time. Like how is that even possible?" Nathan waved the bartender down.
"He's a mastermind." Peyton chimed in.
The bartender handed Nathan his shot. Just as he was bringing the shot to his lips, Lucas and Peyton did as well. They drank it in unison.

Within minutes Chad and Haley exited the stage while laughing.
"Ok, that was fun." Haley chuckled, "And how come me, your best friend, didn't know you could sing?" She punched him in the arm.
"Well best friend, I was on the other side of the world and you were here." Chad reasoned.
"It's called picking up the phone." Haley and Chad began to walk to a nearby table.
They then both sat down at that table. "What do you want me to say, hales?" The conversation soon turned into a little disagreement.
"I—" Haley glanced down then back up at Chad, "I don't know."
The conversation then fell silent.

As the night went on, everybody went back to doing whatever to enjoy the night. Since Chad and Brooke are acting like they're not together, Chad took it upon himself and started to dance with some blonde. While Chad danced with the blonde, Lucas and Peyton were heading to Peyton's office; away from the rest of the party.
Peyton guided Lucas to her office, hand in hand as she walked in front and he trailed behind. In this moment, they were both thinking about how they wanted this night to end. Once they reached her office, she turned to Lucas, walking backwards as they smiled at each other.
Lucas pulled Peyton in between his arms. His arms wrapped around her waist and her arms wrapped around his neck. They swayed to the music that was playing out near the bar. It was quiet, nice, peaceful. Just in moments, Lucas decided he didn't want to wait any longer. He leaned in and connected his lips with her's. Peyton didn't pull back, she stayed.
They continued to kiss, practically make out while standing. Just as their heart rate was rising, Chad came into the picture.
Haley asked him to get Peyton and so he went to look for her. The first place he goes to was her office. He didn't say anything when he saw them kissing, he just stood there. He didn't know why he wasn't moving or why he felt this sudden urge to tell Peyton about him and Brooke. He choked a bit before finally moving his feet and heading back out. Instead of going back to Haley, he went to Brooke.
As he rushed by, he grabbed her hand and pulled her outside the club.
"I think we should tell Peyton." He announced once the door closed behind them. He noticed Brooke was shivering and so he took his jacket off and put it over Brooke's shoulders.
"Thanks." She smiled. Her smile quickly fades once she realized what he just told her, "You mean now? What brought on this decision?"
"I just love you and I'm tired of not being able to hold your hand or kiss you exclusively. In front of everyone. People need to know your a taken woman." Chad said. All he did was just make her smile. Brooke didn't have to say anything else. She just pressed her body against his as he leaned back on the brick wall, placing a kiss on his lips while Chad cupped her face.

Peyton rushed out her office in a frantic looking for Brooke. Since she couldn't find her, she went to the source which was Haley and Nathan at the bar.
"Have you guys seen Brooke?" She approached the happily married couple.
Haley looked to Nathan, "I think she went outside." Then turn back to Peyton. Nathan just shrugged his shoulders.
Peyton nodded before heading off to look outside for her best friend. Just as she approached the door to the outside world, she saw Brooke, but with Chad. They were kissing. So many thoughts took residence in her mind. She didn't know what to think, she didn't know why her bestie decided to lie to her.
She made her way back into Tric and winded up at the bar between Lucas and Haley, while Nathan was on the other side of Haley.
"You find her?" Haley questioned.
"No." Peyton shook her head, "I guess she called it a night."
"Or she might've found someone, knowing her." Nathan chimed in.
Peyton just stared off into space while the rest of them talked amongst each other.

a/n: soooo im very excited for what's to come!! how do you y'all think Chad handled that situation of seeing Peyton and Lucas? what did you think of how Peyton found out?
