Chapter 22: Bittersweet

Something about Dipper had changed. It was if someone had flipped a switch and he was back to his normal self!  Mabel was happy as always. But she noticed that Dipper was away more frequently. She just passed the thought along as that he had found a girlfriend. She was happy for him. But at the same time she felt worried. Bill and Mabel were also spending more time to. Today in Gravity Falls the weather was rainy. Mabel hadn't seen Bill for about a week. So she decided to go see him. She performed the ritual and appeared in the dream. Dimension. She was about to move when she heard Bill's voice. It was like he was talking to someone in person. But Mabel was able to make out a phone. She started listening intently. She knew what she was doing was wrong but carried on. "Jill I refuse to marry you! I don't care! Look I know were of nobility but I can't marry you! Look I'll be there to discuss the marriage plans in 3 days. " Bill said sternly. Mabel was able to make out the last words that "Jill" had said. "I love you!" Was the last thing she heard before Bill hung up. Her eyes filled with tears and Threatend to spill over. She quickly left without making a sound.

--------Meanwhile---------

Bella and dipper sat in the grass in the forest by the stream.  "Look!  It's a cat!" Bella pointed. Dipper laughed at Bella. "Your like a 5 year old!" Dipper chuckled. "Shut up! " Bella blushed.  Bella Started picking flowers. Dipper continued reading his journal. Bella sat back down and placed something on Dipper's head. "What the heck?" Dipper asked. Bella giggled "It's a flower crown silly! " She beamed. Dipper chuckled. "Thanks." Dipper said. He came closer to Bella and she turned red. He laughed again. He placed his hand on her face and kissed her. She pulled back and smiled. The two then stood up and walked to town to get a bite to eat.

Mabel was overwhelmed with emotions. Sadness, curiousness,  and anger. She was really confused as well. Mabel tried to take her mind off things.  She saw waddles and turned on the TV. She used waddles as a pillow. The two watched TV for the rest of the night. Mabel felt a little better. She trudged up the stairs and crawled in bed. Waddles fallowed and begged to get on the bed with Mabel. She smiled and put him on the bed.  She was almost asleep when she heard sound. She knew who it was and felt a knot forming in her stomach.
