"They're here" my best friend Eleanor told me which I rolled my eyes to.

"Of course it's homecoming they'd swing by to brag that inauthentic relationship" I said with so much disgust.

"You think we'll run up with them?" she asked me, obviously nervous about the situation.

"If we don't I'll run them over" I said and I immediately saw her panic.

"You're staying away from all the alcohols tonight. Don't you dare make a scene here Madeleine it would be so embarrassing" Eleanor said looking she's already trying to come up with a damage control to whatever plan I have.

We were talking about my ex and his current fling or so what I heard. I don't actually have any plans in ruining anyone's evening as long as those eyesore keeps out of my sight.

We walked over through the crowd of people and greeting all the familiar faces. It has been 15 years when we graduated high school and I can't believe I'm seeing this familiar faces that molded me into the person I am today.

My long cardigan beach cover up was flowing as I walk through the crowd and my outfit being a denim shorts and a white triangle bikini top paired with a nude colored slip ons.

I was still greeting the people around me when I felt my cardigan being tugged. I looked down and saw my godson.

"Aunt Mads up! up!" Leinel said as he reached it his wanting to be carried and so I picked him up.

"Hello baby, where's your dad?" Eleanor greeted him.

"Daddy no no" He said shaking his head "Daddy said no stowberry daddy no no Aunt Norie" He continued pouting

And I giggled kissed his cheeks. Leinel is my other best friend Lendel's adopted son. His only 2 years old. Lendel found him when he helped Leinel's biological mother to go to the hospital to give birth in which she died after delivering her son. Then Lendel decided to keep him and I never thought I could agree too fast to something that Lendel decided with. Even though Lendel is a single dad me and Eleanor takes turn in helping him to take care of Leinel.

I walked towards our table and saw Lendel peacefully minding his food so I turned Leinel's head and smacked his father's head.

"Your child was asking for strawberry and your here eating on your own" I scolded him and he glared at me and stood up to take his son from me.

"He was asking for chocolate with tiny bit of strawberry" He tried explaining while holding his son in one of his arm and massaging the back of his head still glaring at me.

"Is it true baby?" I asked Leinel and he shaked his head in denial of what his father was saying. "He said he didn't!" I argued more

"You never believe me!" he said in disbelief and I just laughed because I would never take his side when we're with Leinel so we tease him.

"Did you sleep before coming here?" I asked him he shook his head "Did you drag Leinel around before coming here?"

I sounded irritated that he immediately looked guilty. He put Leinel on a chair and dragged me to sit too and Eleanor sat beside me while he sat across me since it was a round table.

"He was sleeping in the van ok? you guys were busy so I didn't bother and besides you don't want me to look for a babysitter so I don't have a choice" He reasoned out I just glared at him since I didn't have any energy to argue any further and he just smiled sheepishly.

"Look who have here the scene stealer couple" Andrew said before I heard his camera clicked. I couldn't even fix how I looked.

"We're not a couple!!"  We shouted shouted in unison.
