Chapter 2

Jacob POV:

It's the following morning since I arrived at Death City, and I woke up earlier than everyone. I already apologized to Maka for me using my Spiritual Pressure, but I never got to apologize to her partner, Soul. I know I'll make them a nice breakfast to show my appreciation.

Finally nearly everything is ready. I poured my soul into this meal for them. I hope they like it.

???: What's that smell? It smells pretty good.

I then turned around and saw Maka and Soul still half asleep.

Jacob: Good morning, sleepy heads. Breakfast is nearly ready.

Maka: You didn't have to make us breakfast.

Jacob: I know. It's just Soul got knocked out because of my anger. I know I apologized to you. But I never got a chance to apologize to Soul. Plus you know what they say, "The first impression is only one that counts." And I want to make it a good one.

Soul*thoughts*: He slaved over a hot stove making us breakfast because he felt bad for knocking me out?

Soul: Like Maka said, you didn't have to make us breakfast. It's cool.

Jacob: I'm glad to hear. But do eat. I worked really hard on this and I also would like to hear feedback.

Maka: Well no point in letting this go to waste.

They each grabbed a plate and took the first bite. And they were amazed.

Maka/Soul*thoughts*: This is the best food I've ever had! It tastes perfect!

Maka: This amazing, Jacob! How did you do it?

Jacob: Well when your existence is ignored as much as mine by your parents and family members. You tend to pick up a few habits.

Damn it! I can't believe I let that slip! Oh well no turning back now.

Soul: What does that mean?

I sighed in defeat. I then told them about my life on Patch. From finding out that I can't manipulate my aura flow and I don't have a semblance. I then told them how my parents ignored my existence since to my sisters and their friends bullying me physically and verbally.
