Chapter 11

(This song reminds me of Hosie cause Josie had a crush on Hope and she still does even if her subconscious doesnt think so newest episode sorry for the spoiler if you didnt watch it)

Hope was the first one up, well not really. She actually never fell a sleep that night.

"Are you just going to stare at me?" Jo asked, rolling over to face the girl. Shes been awake for atleast 5 minutes and the girl has been staring at her ever since, the brunette could feel her eyes burning into her skull.

"Sorry, just making sure you were okay"

"Afraid I'm going to die in my sleep?" She asked with a yawn, slowly sitting up and putting her back against the cold wall. She shivered at the contact.

"It could happen"

"With you anything could happen"

"What are you hiding?" Hope asked, getting right to the point. She's been waiting all night to ask the brunette. "What? I-I'm not hiding anything"

"I can hear your heart beat"

The brunette let out a very long sigh "IsleptwithMaya" She said quickly, her face turning bright red. "What?"

"IsleptwithMaya" She lowered her voice, hoping it would make it harder for Hope to hear her. "You what Maya?"

"Slept" Jo gulped. "WHAT?" Hope jumped out of bed, her face furious. "What were you thinking!" She shouted, throwing her hands up. "I'm going to kill her"

"Hope!" Jo called after the girl, she had slipped on her jacket and was already leaving the cabin. "Hope! Hope! Stop!" Jo called, quickly grabbing her jacket and running after the girl.

The way she walked already told Josid that she was determined, she grabbed the girls shoulder forcefully turning her around. "You cant do this" She told with girl with her eye brows raised. "Yes, I can" She said, starting to walk again.

"Its not her fault, Hope!" Jo shouted. "She did it to infuriate me, It is her fault" Hope said between clenched teeth.

"Hope, dont"

"She was just using you!" She shouted, turning around to face the girl. "She doesnt care about you"

"Shes selfish and I dont want that for you"

"Its okay, Hope. Its done, I dont want her anyways"

"Dont want who?" A familiar voice cut in, Hopes head whiping around to face it. Not even waiting a second before colliding her fist with the persons face.

Josie winced, turning her head for a moment just as she heard the thud from the heavy body hitting the ground.

"You're the worst kind of human" Hope said, standing over the girl. She pointed to Josie "I wont let you hurt her"

Maya spit out some blood "Shes stronger than you-"

"I know shes strong" Hope said, cutting her off. "I'm just the back up"

"What the hell!" Ethan shouted. Hope bent down over the girl. "Stay away from her"

"Or what?"

"Or ill come after you, but next time you might not make it out alive"

"Hope!" Jo shouted, pulling the girl off of Maya.

The auburnette closed her eyes, feeling them glowing. She took a deep breath, attempting to control her racing heart beat.

She never usually gets this mad, sure shes hit a few people throughout her life but she thought she had her anger handled.

"Is your hand okay?" Jo asked softly. Hope opened her eyes to make ey contact with the girl. "Its fine" She sighed. "Is Maya okay?"

"Dont worry about her"

"Come on" The brunette pulled Hope up by her arms. "Lets get out of here, so you can calm down"

"Im sorry"

"Its fine, everyone gets angry sometimes, Hope"

"But not me, I'm suppose to stand for good in my families name. I couldve killed her"

"All that matters is that you didnt"

The auburnette looked to the ground, she could still feel Josies grip on her arm. Helping her walk even tho she didnt need it, shes pretty sure her hand is healed by now.

"I can maybe get us some tea" Jo suggested, unlocking their cabin door and leading the auburnette inside. "I'm fine, thanks" She slowly removed her arm from Josies grip, walking to the bathroom to get rid of the blood.

"Why'd you do it?" She asked, slowly coming out of the bathroom.

"I was mad" She sighed. "You werent texting me, and Maya was there."

"So you didnt do it to spite me?" She slowly sat on her own bed, her voice as soft and low as it normally would be. It was soothing to Josie, she loved the tone of it.

"No, I would never do that to you"

The auburnette looked around, looking at everything but Josie "I'm guessing this means you actually dont like her?"

"No" Jo laughed "I already have my eyes out for someone"

"Oh" Hope frowned, quickly saving it with her neutral face. "I hope its not Ethan"

There was silence in the room, Hope looked up to make sure if the girl was okay, only to be met with brown eyes for a brief moment. The moment was enough for the two to burst out laughing. Both not believing what Hope had just said aloud. "Me and Ethan?" Josie said out of breath, practically wheezing "Never" They both laughed again, the cabin slowly going silent. Only filled with their heavy breathing.

"What do you see in him?" The brunette asked curiously. "Hes kind" She smiles "He gets me--"

"No he doesnt" Jo cut in. "Last night he suggested that you tell him everything. You dont even tell me everything"

"Maybe not that well but hes funny and his smile, its bright" Going over the list, Hooe only came to realize those were things that discribe Josie. "A-and he cares"

"I care" Jo said with a frown. "I love you" The words felt different rolling off the brunette tongue, as if she was admitting something.

The auburnette frowned, noticing the change in the air around them. "I know" She sighed "I love you too" The girl mumbled. She didnt say those words often, throughout the years she had been with Jo she only said it three times and this was the third.

"Is it because hes a guy?" Jo whispered, being cautious about where she was going.  "Not at all"

"Then whats the real reason?"

"Hes human, I can have a normal life with him"

"You can have your dream" Jo sighed. "Are you going to go after that normal life?"

"Hes not going to talk to me any time soon"

"I'll keep you company"  The brunette mumbled, making her way to Hopes bed and taking a seat next to the girl. "Why dont you like him?"

"I dont know" The brunette frowned, staring into Hopes sparkling eyes.

"Oh" She barley got the small word out, the tension between the two growing with every second.

They both wanted to kiss the other, but too afraid of the after talks or the rejection. So instead of doing what their bodies pained them to do, they just sat there.

Hope was the one to break eye contact first, placing her hand on the brunettes and staring at them. "Ill always protect you, even if you dont want it" Hope whispered, only glancing briefly at those brown eyes. "I know"
