Chapter 3: In The Studio

After about three days passed of us just calling every night and texting and snapchatting throughout the day, we decided to hang out again. He called me around 8 and asked if I wanted to go to the hotel and watch a movie. I said yes and began to get ready. I threw on some sweatpants that are way too big for me and a turtle neck, oversized sweater on top. I brushed out my hair because I had been laying in bed all day due to not working and I'm lazy. After about ten minutes I was ready to go. I texted him saying I was leaving, he told me to be safe. Of course I was. Anyway, as I stepped out of my apartment I tried to get the nearest cab because I started seeing some paps across the street, obviously headed to the hotel where the boys are. I snuck into a cab and went straight there. When I got there Niall met me at the back of the hotel to hide from the paps. "I missed you." he said, smiling. "I missed you too." I said, blushing. My heart was beating so fast, like the first time I'd ever seen him. "So, what movie should we watch?" he asked as we walked to the elevator. "Something scary." I said, laughing. "Oh yeah, one hundred percent, I say we watch all the Halloween movies, like a whole marathon, if you want or can?" he asked, jumping up and down like he was a kid. "Yes, yes Niall, we'll have a marathon." I said rolling my eyes with all the love in the world. "Yay! Yay! Yay! Yay!" he said, jumping up and down even higher.

We finally got into the elevator and up to the hotel room. When we got in I saw Louis and Harry talking on the couch. "Hey boys." I said as we walked in. "Hey Nova!" Louis said, getting up and hugging me. "Oh! Hello Louis." I said, laughing. "Hi Nova. How are you?" Harry asked, hugging me after Louis. "I'm doing good Harry, how are you? Been up to anything?" I asked to set my phone and keys on the coffee table. "I'm great love, thank you for asking, haven't really been doing anything besides hanging out with the rest of the mates." Harry said, sitting back down on the couch. "Hey darling, I just got a text saying that we have to go record for the album. I'm so sorry." Niall said, putting his phone back in his pocket. "Oh, it's alright, I'll head home." I said. "I think the hell not." Louis said, grabbing my keys. "I'm texting management, hold on" I was so shocked. "Ok!" I said, laughing. "That sounds like a good idea. Wow! Louis having a good idea for once, that's crazy." Niall said, laughing. Louis then screamed at him and punched him a few times. Then I heard someone's phone go off, it was Louis. "Management said sure as long as you sign a few pieces of paper work to not say anything or use anything before we release the album or song." Louis said, going into the bedroom and grabbing his shoes. "Oh, yeah, of course." I agreed. "That's great! I get to go sing and write and spend time with my favorite person." Niall said, excited. "Aww, thank you Niall, I love you." Louis said, running and hugging Niall. "Not you, idiot!" Niall yelled.

When we got to the studio across the street, after dodging all the paps, the boys all said 'Hi' and I sat down in a chair in the corner. "Here." said a man, handing me a few papers. "Oh, uh, thanks." I took them and started signing. Knowing how horrible and strict their management is, I just couldn't stand looking into the man's eyes as he came and got them back when I finished signing the papers. "Ok guys, let's get started." There was a man who seemed like someone who didn't like their management either, he seemed chill and loose. "Louis! Oh my gosh, get over here!" the man said, laughing. "Alright, alright." Louis said, going into the sound booth after chasing Zayn around the room. "We're just going to start on the chorus of Night Changes." the man said, turning up Louis' microphone and starting the music. "Louis' vocals are so good in this song." Niall said to the man sitting in the chair. "Yeah, he sounds amazing as always. This song is amazing, I love the way it sounds." Zayn said agreeing and getting ready for his part.

After about two hours of singing a few songs and working on them, the man said it was fine if we left and he'd just tell management that he had technical difficulties, I never caught his name because I stayed quiet the whole time besides when Niall would whisper to me every so often. Hearing Niall sing right in front of you is breathtaking. He sounded like an angel. You can tell he sings from his soul and deep down and not just to please people. He truly enjoys it, I can tell through the passion and love he radiates. Anyway, we all decided that we wanted McDonalds, it was like midnight, what else are you going to eat? "Darling, what would you like?" Niall asked me, pulling his phone out to text Paul, their security guard. "Oh, I just have a medium fry and a diet coke if that's alright?" I replied. "Of course, boys what do you want?" Niall asked, turning toward them. After getting all their orders we went to the hotel. It was just me and Niall this time because Zayn and Liam went out somewhere and Harry and Louis went to a bar, I think it was called 'Redline - Food and Bar', yeah I'm pretty sure it's a gay bar but that's none of my business.

"Did you have fun?" Niall asked as we got into the room. "Yes! You sounded amazing. I'm jealous." I said hugging him. "Woah, thank you Nova!" he said hugging me back. "You're so sweet!" he said, holding my waist. He hadn't let go of me from our hug. "Your eyes are so pretty." he said, placing his hand on my cheek. "Th- Thank you." I said blushing and placing my hand on his hand on my face. "You know I like you a lot, you mean a lot to me. I know I've only known you for a few days but you've grown on me Nova." he said, slowly bringing his lips closer to mine. Before I knew it he had his warm lips against mine. I had so many emotions happening at once, but most of all I was so happy. I had butterflies in my stomach. I had my hands on his cheeks while he held mine and still one on my waist. As he backed away all I could do was smile. Niall just kissed me. The one I've been falling for my entire life. My dream man just kissed me. "Th- That was amazing." I said, blushing even more. "I thought it was about time, I couldn't resist it anymore if I'm being honest. I hate wasting time on the first kiss but anything else, it's all at your pace." he said, reassuring me that he would never make me do something I wasn't ready to and that I was safe. "Thank you Niall, that means a lot. You're the best."

After that we just kind of moved on to watching tv and talking. I still couldn't believe that it had happened but I acted like it was all cool. It was definitely a moment to remember. He's such an amazing man. Makes me so happy.

"Oh shit, I think I should head home now!" I said, sitting up from his chest. "Oh yeah! It's almost three in the morning." he said, getting up and grabbing our shoes. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't even paying attention." he said. "Oh no no it's perfectly fine, I wouldn't want to stay up till three in the morning with anyone else." I said, grabbing my bag. He laughed and opened the door for me. As we walked out he began to text someone, I assumed the drivers. "Alright, let's head out back." he said, grabbing my hand and holding it. As we went out to the car he opened the door for me and told me how beautiful I looked, even at 3:00 AM. "I hope you won't hate me for this." he said, laughing it off. "No, never, you're my favorite person." I said, buckling up. As the driver pulled out onto the road Niall held my hand. He knows I get a little anxious on car rides, I don't really understand why but it just makes me nervous knowing what could happen.

When we got to my apartment Niall refused to let me go in by myself so he convinced the security guard to let him walk me in. "There was no way in hell I was about to let you walk into your apartment at this time of day, you know the type of people here, don't even with me Nova, I will protect you with my life." he said, grabbing my hand. All I could do was smile and I swear I was the color of a strawberry. When we got to my apartment I asked if he wanted to come in for a second and of course he said yes. I showed him around and where the food was. "And the couch is so comfy." I said, pressing a cushion. "Really!" he ran and plopped onto the couch. "Ahaha, yes, do you think so?" I asked. "Yeah, get over here!" he said, gently grabbing my wrist and pulling me onto the couch. He started tickling me and I bet the neighbors thought we were insane. I was laughing so loudly I couldn't breathe. "Oh my gosh, stop, stop!" I said. "Ok, ok!" he said, stopping. "I didn't think you'd actually stop." I said. "Well, you asked me to stop, I know my limits love." he said, kissing my forehead. "Oh, good to know, makes my heart happy, you're such an amazing person, you make me so happy Niall." I said, blushing. I had never straight up told him how much he means to me so I took my chance. "You light up the room everytime you walk in, you've saved me without knowing, you have such pretty eyes, and an amazing laugh. Very contagious. You're my favorite person Niall." I said to him, in the eyes, I had no idea how I did it but I did. "Wow Nova, that- that really tells me how much...... of a glob of love you are." he said, laughing and then kissing me. We then talked for like ten minutes and then he got a text from his driver telling him it was time for him to go. "Oh, darling, I have to go." he said, looking sad at his phone. "Oh, alright." I said, standing up and heading to the door. "I'm sorry, I don't want to go but it's late, or early I guess." he said, looking at the time which read '3:30 AM'. "Yeah, you're right, I should head to bed." I said opening the door for him. "I'll text you, goodnight Nova" he said, slowly walking out. "Goodnight Niall." I said, watching him walk away. Then he turned around and it seemed like he was going to say something but he just kept going.

After he left I got into the shower and started listening to 'Up All Night'. I don't care what anyone says, it will forever be a bomb ass album. Anyway, I got out of the shower and checked my phone to see a text from Niall, it read "Tonight was great, I'll be thinking about it for a while, thank you for a great time love, I'll text you in the morning, Goodnight <3" My heart was beating so fast, I always get excited when I get notifications from him on my phone. "Yeah, it was so fun! Can't wait to do it again, Goodnight <3" I replied in a snap. I feel like this thing '<3' is like OUR thing now, we always send it for good morning and good night texts. I went to sleep and woke up the next day to something exciting.
