He opened his eyes while he was still submerged. In that river's area, water was almost transparent. Osvaldo directed his gaze down, where after a few meters there was the bottom of the body, decorated with round stones of different sizes and some aquatic plants. He had been in that place a hundred times, and still, he was fascinated by the view every time he went there.

When the water touched him, he felt a comforting sensation. Since he was a child, he had had that type of reaction when he swam or even when he took a shower, but it wasn't until his adolescence when he understood why.

Osvaldo emerged from the deep and he breathed in. He had been underwater almost ten minutes and he could hold even more without coming out for air, but he decided to go up because he knew if he stayed down there Isaac would get scared, even though he was already used to see him do such things.

He looked to the front. A young man with black hair was sitting at the riverside. From that spot it couldn't be distinguished, but Osvaldo was taller than him by a few centimeters.

"The water is good, come in" he asked his friend.

"It's always good for you" the other answered. The boy in the water made a grimace and he tilted his head toward one side in an expression that said 'true'. "I'm coming" Isaac announced. The lad stood up and he put a well folded towel on a little rock close to the shore, in that way, he would have easy access to grab it when he wanted it, without the risk of wetting the backpack in which he had carried it. He also took his sandals off.

Isaac gave a few steps until his feet where in contact with the freshwater. He shivered a bit due to the change in temperature. He kept going until the water got to his waist. In that moment, the boy stopped. He landed his eyes on the front. His friend was still floating, waiting for him. The brunette inhaled softly and then, he launched forward with his arms ahead. He thrusted underwater and advanced a few meters. He returned to the surface next to the other guy.

"You were right" Isaac said.

"I told you, c'mon" the other asked. Both went back down, and they moved below the water. After every couple strokes Isaac got his head out to take air, something Osvaldo did less frequently.

They liked that place because it almost wasn't visited by other people. In each side of the river, there were extended some trees. Further away, there were a few houses, but their occupants didn't use to come close to that zone.

After some time, Isaac was the first one to get out. He sat down at the riverside, water dripping off his body. He dried his head and left the towel on his back, taking care it didn't touch the ground. He knew his friend would take his time to come out, but he had had enough for the day. The young man took his cellphone to distract himself. The time Osvaldo was going to remain in the water would allow him to dry completely.

Half an hour later, the brown-haired guy abandoned the water, and he went to sit next to him while he started drying himself off.

"Hey, what did Lily say about going to the game next week?" the boy that just got out asked.

"She has to ask for permission in her job" Isaac responded, "but I think she may go". Osvaldo wanted to question him if someone else besides her would go, but he decided not to.

"That's great" he opted to say. "I'm sorry my parents don't let me go".

"Don't worry" the other rushed to say. "I know it's for your safety", then, he added in a lower volume: "At least you tried". His expression turned low.

Osvaldo turned his gaze down. Then, he heard the ringtone of his phone, he checked the mail he had and told his friend:

"Hey, want to have dinner at my place?"
