Chapter 16: Remembrance

A/N: The song is what inspired the soulmate twist with the reality stone.

I was tossed into a cell with a clear glass side. I stayed put as I thought about Kurosawa. He probably missed me, but then my mind wandered to the dark haired man in green. He seemed familiar, but I couldn't figure out how. As I was thinking a man with blonde hair walked in. I looked up, "Here to torture information out of me?"

"No, just here to talk. You are my best friend after all," he says.

I laugh, "Excuse me? I don't even know who you are."

"I am Thor, son of Odin."

"Son of Odin? You mean like the God Odin?" I laughed.

"Yes and you are Aylin Roberts, my best friend, and soulmate to my brother, Loki."

My head snapped up at the word soulmate, "Listen here. My soulmate is Kurosawa, and he is on the ship with Thanos right now!" I stood up and pinned him to a wall. "So I'd appreciate it if you let me leave, so I can get back to him."

Thor flips the situation to where I am on the floor and he's holding one of my arms behind my back, "He's not your soulmate!"

I open a telepathic channel to him and show him the memories of him kissing me and us sleeping beside each other. Thor quickly lets go and storms out. 

LOKI POV

I watched as Thor interrogated her. When he reappeared back upstairs he looked ready to kill. 

"What happened brother?" I ask. 

Thor takes my hand and presses it to his forehead. I close my eyes as I look into his mind. He shows me Aylin sleeping next to the brown haired male who was with her. He showed me them kissing and I yanked my hand away. "NO!" I yelled. I ran up to our room and grabbed a speaker. Aylin taught me how to use it and the phone she bought me. 

One of her favorite songs was called Water Fountain by Alec Benjamin.

I started playing it through the speaker as I stepped in the shower. I sang a long with it.

She told me that she loved me by the water fountain

But now she's got a cup with something else in it
It's getting kind of blurry at a quarter past ten
And he was in a hurry to be touching her skin
She's feeling kind of dirty when she's dancing with him
Forgetting what she told me by the water fountain

Now he's grabbing her hips, and pulling her in
Kissing her lips, and whispering in her ear
And she knows that she shouldn't listen
And that she should be with me by the water fountain
She couldn't be at home in the night time because
It made her feel alone, but at that time she was too young

Now I'm grabbing her hips, and pulling her in

After the song ended I stood in the shower just letting the water run over me. The thoughts Thor showed me running through my head over and over again. 

When I actually started to move again I got out of the shower and dressed in a comfortable shirt and sweatpants. I walked down to where the video cameras for the cells were. No one was there, so I sat at the chair and watched Aylin. She was pacing around, the way she does when she's thinking. I watched her and every once in a while she'd look at the camera as if she knew someone was watching her.

After a few times of doing that she glares at the camera, "If you're just gonna sit there and watch me why don't you come down here and talk. I'm pretty bored."

I laughed and headed to the cell, she still had her sense of humor. 

Aylin POV

I waited for whoever was watching me to come to my cell. When I saw that it was the man in green from earlier, I blushed.

He entered my cell and said, "Hello, Aylin darling."

"I was expecting it to be Thor again."

"Unfortunately its only me, his brother."

My head snapped up, "You're his brother?"

"Adopted. I know we look nothing alike. I'm Loki," he says.

"He said you're my soulmate. Is that true?"

He nods and I just stare in shock. "B-but..." I look away in confusion.

He comes up to me and says, "You and I met almost a week ago. When we met you and I were almost inseparable. Then Thanos took you from me and erased your memories of me."

I wracked my brain trying to remember this, but couldn't. "Y-you're lying."

"I assure you I am not darling. I can prove it if you'd like," he says softly.

I look at him and nod. He gently places his hand to my forehead and memories flood my brain. How we met, us kissing, and even making love. I gasp and begin to cry, "Loki..."

"Do you remember now?"

I nod and pull him close to me, shaking.

"It's okay, Love. You're safe here."

I cry into his chest as I collapse into his hold. He picks me up, bridal style, and carries me out of the cell and up to our room.

On the way Thor sees us and looks at Loki with a questioning look. "She's okay," he says.

When we enter my room he lays me down on the bed and grabs me some pajamas from the closet. I change in front of him and gasp in pain. I look at my arms and legs and see bruises forming that weren't there before.

Loki see's this as well and gently caresses me. "I see the abuse wasn't just mental."

I try to pull on my clothes and Loki helps me. After I change he pulls me onto the bed and under the covers to cuddle me. 

"Sleep my love," he whispers.
