Chapter 2: What to do?

"You've gotta be kidding," says Thor.

I shake my head, "I can see that you're wearing silver and red. Nat is wearing all black and her hair is fiery red. Loki is in green."

Everyone looks at me in shock and I kept my eyes on the floor. I heard Loki approach me and I looked up into his eyes again. My breath was taken away by how close he was to me. 

"It's nice to finally see in color after hundreds of years," he says. "Now, darling, are you going to let me out of these bindings or leave me to go to jail?"

Immediately I get angry, "What? You may be my soulmate but based on what Thor's told me I can't trust you." 

Loki smiles, "Feisty. I like you even more now."

I blush again and he laughs even more. "Adorable too."

Thor puts his arm on Loki's shoulder and pulls him away from me. "We'll talk about this later, Aylin. Loki, until we know what to do you're going to a cell."

The others left while I stood almost rooted to the spot in surprise and confusion. How could Loki, an enemy, be my soulmate?

We sat in the living room of HQ in silence. Thor was glaring daggers at the floor while everyone else just stared at me. Finally I got annoyed and broke the silence, "Are we just going to sit here and ignore the situation?"

Thor looked up, "No, but Aylin you could die without your soulmate after you find them if you're not around them. It's the same with Loki. The only problem is that we cannot trust him."

"I know. Until we establish a bond with our soulmates it's hard for us to be apart, but what do you expect me to do? Let him sleep in my room or me sleep in the cell with him?"

"Well, it's not like you couldn't handle Loki if he tried to escape. Of course Stark will add more security to your room, and we'll all be here as well."

"Wait. You actually want to allow him to sleep in my room?" I yell.

"Just until you can handle being away from him. Aren't you feeling a bit weak?" says Cap.

I glare at him and then I felt my stomach start to hurt and I closed my eyes groaning softly.

"And he's only one floor below us," says Tony.

I try to glare again but the minute I look up the room spins and my vision starts blurring. "I- I think you might be right..." I mumble before I pass out.

I wake up in my room, confused as to how I got there, so I look to my left and realize another bed got placed in my room and Loki was sitting on it looking at me. I sit bolt upright in surprise but fall back down onto the pillows from dizziness.

Loki is at my side in an instant, "Are you okay?"

I sit back up, "I'm fine. What happened?"

"You passed out. Being away from me made you feel weak and sick. So for now until you can handle being away from me for extended periods of time, we have to do pretty much everything near each other."

I look at him and sigh, "I guess an hour away from each other is too long."

"Yeah," he says.

"Why didn't you try to escape while I was knocked out? You could've let me die."

"Yes, but why would I let you die? Escaping would kill us both," he says as he hesitantly takes my hand.

I blush as I realize I'm still in my uniform, "I'm gonna change real quick." I stand and head to my closet. As I look at my pajamas I blush more because none of them are the most appropriate. The only people who had seen me in them were Nat and Thor. I shook my head and just settled on the least revealing thing I had.

I stepped out of my closet after changing. When Loki saw me he chuckled, "Cute."

His laugh brought an even brighter blush to my face and I quickly looked away.

"You'll get used to this eventually, Darling."
