Chapter 12: Training

A/N: Above is her new hero outfit with the same mask as before.

I woke in Loki's arms warm. I smiled at first but then I remembered what happened yesterday and I stop smiling. A numb feeling washed over me again. I laid there, just staying still. After a few moments I gently wiggled out of Loki's arms and went to the bathroom. I took a shower, washing my hair and body, taking my time. 

After I finished I stepped out of the shower drying off. I did my hair and make up for the day. I looked at my hero outfit and sighed, "Still soaked."

I pulled on a simple knit sweater dress and left my room to find Tony. He'd said he had an updated suit for me and it was ready for whenever I wanted it.

I found Tony in the kitchen, he looked up at me when I entered. 

"Hey. Are you feeling okay?" he asks.

I shrug, "I'm okay I guess. I was actually coming to ask you if you still had my new suit. I know I said I didn't want a new one, but mine is soaked... and I'm just feeling like I need a change."

"Sure. Follow me," he says.

I follow him to a lower level and when we come out we're in a room with multiple prototypes of weapons and suits for every member of the team. Tony led me to a section of the room marked with my hero name: Onyx. Immediately what caught my eye were a pair of twin daggers sitting on a table in my section. I run over to them and pick them up. "These are beautiful Tony."

"I'm glad you like them. I did help design them for you," he says.

"You helped?" I ask confused.

"Well, Nat gave me the original design. We were going to give them to you for your birthday. Along with that whip on the wall right over there," He says as he points to the right.

I gasp as I look at the whip in awe. "They're all beautiful. Thank you."

He smiles as I pick up my new weapons. "Do you want to see the suit or not?"

I nod and he leads me to the left wall where a suit was on a mannequin. As soon as I see it I run over to it looking closer. "Wow! This is perfect!"

"Yeah, Nat gave me your measurements for clothes a while back, so it should fit perfectly," he says.

I got a little bit sad at hearing Nat, but I quickly pushed it back. "Thanks Tony! I'm going to take it to my room and try it on." 

Friday hears me and takes the suit off the mannequin and into a bag. I smile as I pick up the bag, "Thanks Friday."

As I pass Tony I stop and give him a hug from behind.

He sighs, "I miss her too."

I nod and let him go taking everything up to my room. 

Loki was awake when I arrived. "Hello darling. What do you have there?"

"New suit and weapons. I'm about to try on my suit. Wanna see it?" I ask.

"Of course I do darling." 

I smile and go into the closet changing. As I put it on I noticed that there was a belt that sat on my waist that had sheaths for my blades and a place for my whip. I place each weapon in its respective spot and walked out of the closet. Loki saw me and his jaw dropped.

I blush as he stares. "You look amazing," He whispers in awe.

Just after he says it I hear a knock on my door, I open it and see Thor. When he sees me his jaw drops as well. I blush again and say, "H-Hey. What's up?" 

He snaps out of it and says, "I was just coming to check on you and make sure you're okay. But wow, you look amazing."

"Thanks. I probably need to get used to moving around in it. I also need to get used to my new weapons. I pull out the silver blade noticing it had a moon charm on it. The other had a sun charm on it. The sight, made my eyes water. Nat always said we were like the sun and moon. Even though I wasn't always happy I made sure to make others happy, like the sun. And even when you can't see the sun through the clouds and rain it's still there just like me.

She was the moon. The one who got her light from the sun, from me. Thor saw what was going on and said, "Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah. I just really miss Nat."

Loki hugged me from behind, "We all do." Thor nodded and gently squeezed my hand. 

I smile and shake my head, "Well, I can't focus on that right now. I need to train. Care to join me?" I ask them.

"Ooh, really? You want to get beat as usual?" asks Thor.

"As usual? For the last month I've been able to pin you!" I say as I start walking to the gym with them.

"Have not!"

I roll my eyes, "As much fun as it would be to beat you again, I'd like to first spar against Loki."

"I'm sorry what?"

"You heard me," I say softly.

"Fine, let's get this over with," he says.

I laugh as I take my stance on the mat. He follows and we stare at each other for a moment before we start.

Loki runs at me with a small dagger in one hand. I block with my silver blade and try to sweep his feet out from under him. He dodges and jumps back. He then throws the dagger at me and I dodge it easily, but Loki grabs me from behind. I quickly adjust and flip him over my shoulder onto the mat and pin him, my gold blade gently at his throat.

"Well, darling if you wanted to be on top all you had to do was ask."

I laugh and get off of him, "Maybe you shouldn't hold back."

"I wasn't holding back," he says.

Thor chimes in, "Yes you were. Trust me she can handle whatever you throw at her. Besides she's not even sweating. She wants to spar not play games."

I smile at Loki and say, "Shall we go again?"

"I guess darling." He comes over to me and whispers, "Not holding back this time Kitten."

I shiver and whisper back, "You better not."
