Amber's POV

It was loud. There were so many people, some I know from school, others I've never seen before. I knew the party was going to be big, but not THIS big. There were people crammed in all rooms of the house, and even more people flooded onto the surrounding streets. The music was so loud you could hear it from three blocks away.

Charlotte and I made our way inside the house. Charlotte immediately leads me to the kitchen to get a drink. She pours herself a shot of vodka, sloshing down her throat immediately.

"I can't wait to see you drunk." She tells me, pouring myself a mystery drink. I get handed the drink, and take a sip. I have no idea what it is, but it tastes fruity.

"I'm gonna go say hi to Niall, you should wonder around make some friends." Charlotte said while walking away. Crap. The only reason I agreed to come was because Charlotte was here with me. And now she's gone.

I hate social situations. Always have. I really don't know why, I just can never remember how to speak english when someone I don't know talks to me. Then I get so embarrassed that I think about it all night and can't sleep.

I find a couch and sit in the corner, setting my drink on the small table beside. I look away and take in my surroundings. There's another couch facing the one I'm on, in the same beige colour. There's a hardwood floor, and a hallway leading to the kitchen. There is also a staircase leading upstairs, which I assume is where the bedrooms are.

"Hey." I hear a voice to my left. I look over to see that same blue eyed boy that was sitting beside Harry on the bus earlier. "Your Amber right?" He asked.

"Um, ya I am. You're Louis?"

"Ya." He smiled. "I was just coming to tell you not to finish that drink, I think that guy over there may have slipped something in it." He nods to a tall man walking away from us.

My eyes widen in horror, realizing Louis probably just saved me from being drugged. "Oh my god, thank you for telling me. I can't believe someone would do that."

"Yeah, anytime." I see a small smile curl on his face before he walks away. Louis is so nice, why is he even friends with Harry. Their exact opposites, I can't see why Louis would want to hang out with him.

I look around to try and locate Charlotte, but she's nowhere to be seen. She said she was going to talk to Niall, but I see him talking to two other guys near the fireplace.

I walk around when i feel something wrap around my wrist. I wince, immediately pulling my arm back and turning around. I make eye contact with a guy I have never seen before. He steps closer to me, this time reaching fo my upper arm.

"Please don't touch me." I say, trying to keep calm even though I was panicking inside. He keeps coming closer to me, trying to grab me.

"Hey, why don't you just come with me and make this a lot easier." The tall man hisses. He's dressed in black jeans and a black shirt, his appearance extremely frightening.

"No!" I protest backing away as quickly as possible. He reaches to grab me again, looking extremely angry. My mind is racing, I'm terrified. What is he going to try and do to me? I thought, starting to panic.

My instincts kick in and I lift up my leg and kick him right in the balls. immediately I run away, swerving around other's oblivious to what is happening. I run up the stairs in panic, finding another stairwell leading outside. I rush over to it, hoping it will lead me away from this horrible man. I get outside and look behind me. The man seems to be gone. I spot a ladder headed to the roof, and decide to go up.

As I reach the top I collapse, sprawling on my back. I feel the cold roof beneath me as I pant. Why did I not bring my inhaler? I think. Why did I come to this party. I knew this would be a mistake. I always make the wrong decision. This is going horribly. My mind is racing, and the extent of what just happened hits. I roll my braclets down my arm to cover my wrist again, as they had slid up during my run. A tear streams down my face as I look up to the sky above me. Stars. I have always had a love for stars, ever since I was little. I've always wondered what it would be like to be a star, problemless, happy. To have millions of beautiful lights dancing around me all the time, to feel at peace. To be a part of something, a part of the bright village in the dark blue sky. I always found myself stargazing whenever I felt alone, ever since I could remember. Whenever my dad would yell at me I would go up to my room and climb through my window, up to the roof. The stars gave me a sense of calm that I could never find any other way. They were the supportive, loving, complete family that I never had. They were my home.

I hear a rustling and look toward the ladder where I climbed up on the roof in panic. I'm met with a pair of piercing dark green eyes. However, those dark eyes were different than the last time I saw them. They were surrounded by red, and puffy. There was a hint of surprise, in them. The boy probably thought he would be alone up here. But the thing that surprised me most hidden behind those dark green eyes was not the deep red colour or the surprise. If you looked close enough, you could see a hint of pain and sorrow in them. Something I never thought this cruel boy could feel. I continue to observe the curly haired boy's eyes for what felt like eternity. They were both dark, with a hinge of hidden bright. They amazed me. I have never seen a pair of eyes as intriguing as these.

My thoughts were interrupted by a voice that sounded like it was masking pain. I look as the curly boy spoke.

"Hi."
