Chapter 7 : The Process

" You son of a bitch ! " Jungkook shouted as he tried to attack the man who killed his girlfriend.

 All of the officers held Jungkook as they stopped him from crossing over the fence in the court. His face was full of hatred toward the man and he kept on kicking his leg towards the man.

On the other hand the murderer were just looking down and not reacting to Jungkook's attack.

" Mr. Jeon Jungkook , if you can't behave in the court i would suggest you to leave..." The judge said as he hit the hammer to silent everyone. Jungkook stopped moving and looked at the judge with tears in his eyes.

He then looked to his right and saw Y/N's mother who were looking at him with tears in her eyes too. She then smiled weakly and shook her head. At this point, Jungkook realized that he have no right to act like this because he is not the only one who suffered the most...Y/N's mother who have been with her since she was still a baby suffered the most...she took care of her and watched her grow up to become a beautiful and strong lady. She was there for her before he came into her life and yet she remained calm while Jungkook didn't.

He felt ashamed...

Jungkook then slowly sit down and Y/N's mom placed her hand on Jungkook's hand as a sign of comfort.

" Mr. Park Jimin, is it true that the defendant attack the officer as a self defense ? " The judge asked as the defendant had submitted that as his statement.

Upon hearing that, everyone was angry especially Jimin because he was there when it happened. He clearly remember his best friend being pulled by the guy and a gun being placed on her head. He remember her face clearly...how her eyes were filled with tears and how she was pleading for help. He remember seeing her lifeless body on the floor with blood. He remember everything clearly and how dare he lied...

" No your honor... He lied...i was there and it was clear that he murdered her...not as a self defense but an attack attempt..." Jimin made a statement while glaring at the man and the judge nodded.

" Defendant do you admit that you killed the late officer Y/N ? " The judge asked and everyone attention was on him.

He then turned around and faced Jimin before leaning forward. He then smirked and said those 3 words that made everyone to agree that he is sick in his head.

" I . don't . remember . " He then leaned back and looked towards Jungkook while raising one of his eyebrows and smirking.

Jungkook glared at him while turning his hand into a fist. If it wasn't for Y/N's mother, he would have punched his face to death.

" Defendant ! Speak the truth or your sentence will be worsen ! " The judge said and the man then chuckled before raising his hands out of surrender.

" fine...fine...Since all of you are eager to know, fine i killed her and oh boy it was the most satisfying death i have seen in my entire life. The way the blood flows out of her head and the way her face was trembling in fear...i like that...it's a pity that i couldn't finish that shit but i was satisfied to kill someone's daughter, someone's love and someone so important..." He then laughed loudly making everyone to shake their head.

Hearing those words coming out from his mouth, Y/N's mother covered her mouth in shock. Tears were already falling down from her eyes. She didn't want to know how her daughter spent her last moments but she couldn't help but to imagine that moment as he spoke and she regretted it. She felt broken knowing how her baby must have felt at that moment. How scared she must have been. The pressure was too strong that Y/N's mother actually passed out.

Jungkook quickly held her and gently tried to wake her up. Police officers quickly attended to her and put her on a wheelchair. Among that mess, Jungkook could see the man smiling widely as if he was enjoying watching the mess he had created.

The victim who was used as an hostage were trembling in fear as she sat in the middle of the court. She kept on playing with her hands and she avoided the man's eye contact. After hearing what he said, she couldn't help but feel like everything is her fault. If only she just let the man kill her, the officer won't be dead...

" This is fun...judge want to know something? I actually touch that piece of shit..." He said proudly as he pointed to the victim.

" But how unlucky...i was only able to touch the officer's chest when i held her as a hostage...if i had time, i would had rape her right there..." The man said and chuckled.

And that was it.

That was when Jungkook lost control...

He crossed over the fence and jumped on top of the man before punching his face repeatedly. To be honest, no one wanted to stop him because the man deserved it but due to the rule in court, they need to stop him. 

" I'll kill you ! DIE ! " Jungkook shouted as he continued punching.

His eyes were puffy from crying and he kept on punching despite the officers trying to hold him back. He is letting out his anger on him. Jungkook punched him without stopping after knowing he touched her. His mind was filled with Y/N...how y/n would have felt at that moment...he could see her terrified face and her small fragile body trembling...He hated himself for letting her go...

As he kept on remembering the scene, the more angrier he gets and the more stronger his punches was. His knuckles were bleeding and the face of the murderer was filled with blood and bruises. At this point, you can't recognized the guy's face. Finally after many tries, they managed to stop Jungkook by injecting something on his arms making him to faint. They then carried Jungkook away from the murderer and bring him to the hospital.

The murderer was then being held by two officers with force as they put him back on his seat. The man was out of breathe and couldn't barely see his surroundings due to how hard Jungkook punched him. 

" Defendant Jihan. You are sentenced to death in prison. Case closed..." The judge then hit his hammer thrice and the officers dragged the weak Jihan towards his cell.

Everyone then got up and started to leave one by one. They all sighed in relief as they knew the murderer is now being punished...some were even crying knowing that y/n is no longer with them anymore...

Jimin stared into space after knowing that everything is over...After this...they will have to continue living...they have to continue with their life as if nothing happen and he was not ready for that...

How cruel can the world be...

Everything was perfect and happy...

and the next thing they know...

everything started falling apart...

And someone they cherished have left them forever....
