"How did you find us?"Dave looked at the deceased Peter.",me?"
"I just saw you guys and remembered everything , and what happened to Peter! He didn't deserve to die. He's too young."
"He just glitched and died."
"Ummm...Suspicious... Let's go to my lab"
Sean pressed down some numbers and they teleported to the lab.
"Wow, I never knew you were a scientist."
"War does crazy things to a man indeed.And you to go back, right?"
"Of course!"
"So just now, I developed a prototype time machine. This should take you back to your present."
Dave stepped into the machine and looked back one last time.
"Farewell young lad."
"Goodbye Dave."
The next thing he knew, he was in his apartment. His lunch was resting on the table. The apartment was clean and not destroyed. Grabbing his lunch and cane, he walked to the window, and sat down. Holding his fork, he started enjoying his meal.
Without Dave noticing, a sparkle of red appeared in the clouds, forming a bloody smile.
