It's you and me against the world M'lady

(I want to start by saying this story does start slow. In this story, you will get to see romance, heartbreak, anger, happiness, and sorrow, but we do need background knowledge. So eventually it will get better. There are spoilers, for example about who Hawkmoth is, and topics about the love square, so if you haven't watched all three seasons I suggest you do to understand the story better. This is also my first story so I would appreciate suggestions and advice, enjoy!)

"It's you and me against the world m'lady!" Chat Noir says after defeating the akumatized victim to Ladybug.

{Flashback}
    Ladybug and Chat Noir got into an immense fight before the victim got akumatized. Chat Noir had agreed to stay in Paris while Ladybug told him she was going on a school trip to America, California to be specific. Little did Ladybug know that Adrien (Chat Noir) was going on that same trip. So he told her "okay", but went on the trip anyway. Long story short, Ladybug found Chat Noir in California with her, she told him how irresponsible he is, and asked him why he was even there. He said he had to be there for a "family situation" but he was there for a school trip too. He didn't think much of it because it seemed like the whole city of Paris was going to California.

They both ended up transforming into their superhero persona because they found an akumatized villain, Ladybug (Marinette) knew she shouldn't go after it but she was the only one who could. She was notably confused as to why there was an akuma in America when there never had been before. But we know that Gabriel went on the trip with Adrien, so he used this time to akumatize victims thinking Chat Noir and Ladybug wouldn't be there, but they were. Adrien saw the akuma, transformed, and ran into Ladybug. He cataclysmed the akuma, and that's when the fight started.

{Flashback ends}

"Chat Noir, no matter how much you butter me up I'm not going to dismiss what you did. You left Paris, what if the akuma had been here, who would've been here to stop it!" Ladybug asserts. Chat noir responds saying "M'lady I had no choice, I had to go unless I wanted to reveal why I had to stay, my father wouldn't let me stay here. Besides you left too, you can't expect me to stay when I have a civilian life too" Ladybug looks at him and forgives him, not happily but almost like she was forced to. She swings her yo-yo and goes back into an alleyway to detransform.

Marinette gets home and starts on her homework, it was late at night so she hoped to God she wouldn't fall asleep and not finish it. But that's exactly what she did. As her alarm went off she hurriedly got ready and didn't even try to finish her homework. She got to school just in time. She walked in to see Adrien staring at her. She thought he was staring into space so she overlooked it and sat next to her best friend Alya. She told Alya she wasn't able to finish her assignment and Alya let her copy off of her homework. Marinette thanked Alya and told her she was the best friend she could never ask for. The class was boring and dragged on.

Then came an akuma
alert.
