Commotion

The next day at school Marinette had to have her crutches. She knew people would correlate her injury to Ladybug's own. So she was going to tell the same lie to everyone, that she fell down the school stairs. Of course, she was much more hurt, she had internal bruising, a fractured wrist, and cuts and bruises all over her. Luckily her fractured wrist was her left one so she could still write. But she didn't want to make any commotion about it.

She had finally arrived at school, anxious about everyone seeing her in this condition. Luckily no one knew about Ladybug's injury just yet besides Chat Noir and Master Fu. So hopefully there aren't any akuma attacks soon. As she was making her way to her classroom Alya jogged up to her and found her. Of course, the first thing Alya mentioned to Marinette was her crutches. Marinette just said she fell down the stairs. Alya believed her bluenette friend because she knows how clumsy she can be.

As the day went on Marinette just kept retelling the same lie over and over to different people. But then Adrien came up and asked her. She still wasn't over Adrien, she didn't know if she was still completely in love but she knew she wasn't over him. Adrien asked what happened and she just said the same lie, that she fell down the stairs. But he wasn't curious about how she got injured, he was more interested in what specific injuries they were. So he asked, trying to seem sympathetic. Marinette explained her bruising internally and externally, her fractured wrist, and a broken leg. Adrien said his apologies and said goodbye to Marinette.

Adrien went home and wondered what Ladybug's injuries were. Master Fu never told him. But at least he knew she was getting the help she needed as her civilian self. That thought made him think. "Marinette and Ladybug both got injured on the same day." He thought he would ask Ladybug what injuries she had next time, just to see if they were the same. Although there aren't any akuma attacks so far today so he might just have to wait.

While Adrien was thinking about that when he went home Marinette was busy thinking about how she could lie about her injuries as Ladybug. "Maybe I won't mention the bruising, and just say I have a sprained wrist instead?" She didn't think that she knew Chat Noir as his civilian self, but just in case she did she didn't want him to make the connection between her and Ladybug.

Luckily tonight there were no akumas so Marinette could rest. But she did have one thing to do tonight. She needed to sneak out to Master Fu's house. As Marinette, Tikki had the strength to transform but Marinette didn't want to tire her out. So she did so.

On her way to Master Fu's, she made sure no one saw her or was following her. She didn't want Master Fu's identity to be compromised. As she arrived she saw him waiting for her in his usual spot on his cream-colored carpet. She sat down and they started the healing process on Tikki. Not only did Marinette get hit Tikki did too. So as Marinette was healing so was Tikki. I guess Hawkmoth's victim was really powerful this time, Ladybug has been hit many times before with no problem. They finished the ceremony and Tikki already started feeling better, not perfect but better. Marinette left as soon as it was finished since she had an early doctor's appointment in the morning. She thanked Masted Fu and went on her way home.

Marinette made it home successfully and went off to bed. Only to be woken up by her alarm a few minutes later. She groaned and pouted because she knew sleep was so important to heal. But she had to go to this doctor's appointment. She was a bit relieved because she got to skip a few class periods so she wouldn't have to deal with people babying her and asking her what happened. She arrived at the doctor's office after getting ready and the doctor told Tom and Sabine that everything was going great, and the healing process is going smoothly.

After Marinette's check-up, they decided to pick up some fast food real quick because they were all starving. They pulled up to Maison De La Poutine, one of the best fast food places in Paris France. They enjoyed their delectable meals. Marinette told her parents that she couldn't sleep last night and asked if they could just head home for her to rest. Her parents agreed since they knew Marinette "has trouble sleeping" at least that's what they thought when in reality she was out saving Paris and on patrol with Chat.

As Marinette rested, an akuma alert went off.
