Philip MacPherson was a sixteen years old student of Metroville high, his father was an old detective and his mother had died in a car accident some years back. Mr Nick MacPherson, Philip's father had solved cold murder cases, weird occurrences, robbery cases, arson cases not to mention but a few. Philip was fascinated and derived immense pleasure in solving paranormal occurrences which made his social personality in school to be classified as "Awkward Nerd". He had a friend whose name was John Matthews, John was a wild kid whose parents cared less or more about him because they were business people who owned and managed a flourishing hotel in the heart of the city. The two kids were then always together pretending to be detectives who solved crimes and always pretended to be popular.
Well, one day the adventure began when an atmospheric reaction fused with a scientist's experiment and opened up a breach between the dark universe and earth.
The reaction razed the scientist's lab to the ground and the government came and cleaned up the mess but the portal which adopted the metamorphosis of an insect develops fully and after a designated time unleashes a very huge amount of radiation and though it may be common knowledge that radiation causes cancer, the Dark Universe's radiation carries the gene of beasts which shall be uncovered during the course of this story.
A group of campers were camping in the woods close to the position of the portal, one of them, a man called Max wandered away from camp and had a direct contact with the emitted radiation, suddenly he began to undergo a gene mutation, his DNA began to shift from human to beast, claws shot out from his fingers, hair erupted from all parts of his body, his eyes turned red and he let out a loud howl.
Back at the camp site, his friends heard it and they began to load their guns in case of any unpredictable attack, and as they were preparing to search for Max, a figure passed them with superspeed from behind, they all looked back and pointed their guns in that direction, the figure passed amongst them and one person went missing, they began to fire sporadically, "Shoot to kill! Shoot to kill!" Shouted the leader as he loaded another clip into his gun. When their ammunition was almost finished, another person went missing, and another and another till the leader was the last man left, suddenly he looked up and and asked "Is that you?,Max?". Max looked up into his eyes to reveal a pair of red eyes and a set of fangs before jumping on the leader.
