Finally got around to editing this chapter! Sorry it took so long. As always Cameron is completely lost and as you read you'll understand the title! Thanks for reading and please leave your thoughts and stuff in the comments. I love reading and replying to them! :)

I had forgotten what happiness was until this morning. Waking up with Lacey back in my arms made me most content man in the world and I never wanted to move again. I smiled softly watching her sleep peacefully when suddenly alarms blared through the air. I jumped and almost fell out of bed at the sudden scare and grabbed at the box on the bed side table. I accidentally knocked it to the floor and then I really did tumble out of bed going after it. I sat for a few minutes on the ground juggling the noisy thing and shaking it but the damn thing wouldn't shut up. I heard soft laugher and looked up to see Lacey smiling down at me from the edge of the bed, still wrapped in her blankets enjoying the early morning entertainment. I pouted as I held the thing out to her, all she did was press a stupid button on the back and it stopped.

"If the buttons were labeled I could have done it." I said still pouting as I pulled myself back up.

"Sure.." She said, laughing again. "Its old so the writing has worn off of it." She yawned and stretched then pulled herself out of bed, stumbling slightly to the closet. She started looking through the rack for something when suddenly she stopped. "I don't have a job anymore, what am I doing?" She mumbled to herself and went to the bathroom to brush her hair and teeth.

"So whats the plan today?" I asked, leaning on door frame to the bathroom.

"Find a new job." She said plainly, "But first enjoy my first day of freedom I've had in a while.. might go a little crazy and even make some pancakes if we have the stuff.." She said thoughtfully.

"That uhh.. nursing job is still open." I said slyly.

"and its still illegal." She countered.

"Its not like a real hospital though, its another facility." She rolled her eyes,

"Thats alright, I'll stick to my normal human options."

"Okay but if you change your mind..." I said wriggling my eye brows, she just rolled her eyes again. "Are you alright, do I need to examine your eyes?" I asked concerned, she laughed and turned to look at me.

"Why cause I'm rolling my eyes?"

"Yeah, that looks like a medical condition, maybe you're about to have a stroke or have epilepsy.." I said thoughtfully.

"Yeah its called being a human with an attitude." She said, "Pretty much everyone you meet around here will have the same medical condition." She said teasing so I rolled my eyes at her.

"Ow, that kinda hurt." I complained rubbing my eyes. She snorted but didn't say anything, "Shut up.." I mumbled, knowing what she was thinking and went down stairs.

Hayden was sitting on a stool at the kitchen table stirring something around in his bowl rather then actually eating.

"Please don't tell me you inherited that never-eats-anything thing thing from your mother." I said, going to the refrigerator to get a drink but decided on air when I saw it was empty and sat at the table across from him. He looked up and glared at me then went back to stirring his multi-colored O's. I looked at it funny for a moment but decided to keep my opinion about him using a spoon when it didn't look necessary to myself.

"Mom we're out of milk." He said, turning to look at her as she came down the stairs. She came up and hugged him from behind, resting her chin on his head and looked into his bowl and sighed.
