IV: years after

After kaneki joined the aogiri tree, that's when kuro and karu quitted.

The two has more information than before, karu changed as so as his personality and his appearance. Mostly kuro.

One bad thing happen, karu died.

She didn't get over it, still until now.

Female walked straight to the university where hide was in, kamii university. She now goes to school there, but almost all of her day is not complete whiteout kaneki or even ayato. She sighed and blew her bangs, fixing her scarf to cover her mouth.

She is now 18.

It's been a year she didn't saw or heard any news to kaneki and ayato, but she knew that they are a partners because of her quitting.

It was the biggest mistake on her whole life.

Yes her one goal is achieved but one is not.

"K-kuro?" She looked behind her, his appearance was different. It was hide, "h-hide? Is that you?" Her voice slightly turned into a little angelic not like when she was 17.

Hide smiled and nodded his head.

Kuro can't smile, she can't but inside she smiled warmly and happy to see him.

Her best friend and half brother.

She hugged him and hid her face into his chest muffling words she has regretted years ago, "shh... Kuro, i know... Don't cry.." He muttered lifting the females chin up seeing her eyes red and puffy little tears left. He chuckled, "you didn't change to me... Your still the same old kuro i met years ago.. 15 years ago.." He muttered again and sighed.

Kuro sniffed and pulled away, a tiny smile plastered on her face.

She chuckled.

"I'm glad your still here.... Kaneki is gone though.." He said sadly, kuro know where he have been but not saying that she knows. She needs to keep kaneki's secret but she didn't know if hide know if he is a ghoul or not.

"O-oh! I have a joke!" He said.

Kuro nodded and walked, hide beside her.

"What do little sisters ride?..." He said, slightly smirking.

"....hm.. What?"

"NII-SAN!" He bursted out laughing his ass off, kuro knew it was a dirty joke. She smiled and giggled, looking at hide who was holding his stomach almost out of breath.

Class are dismissed and she's the first one who got out, she run as fast as she can. She was bullied and molested by the male students there, she doesn't want to fight back because she saw one of them as her brother. Another mistake she made.

She ran into an alley sitting on the dark corner, tears running down her cheeks. She hugged her legs towards her chest and sniffing she heard foot steps towards her but she didn't mind who it is. The foot steps came closer, and closer and closer.

She hid her face and cried.

The foot steps stopped.

She heard nothing but silence until.

"Hey..." She heard that voice that she wanted to.

Someone lifted her chin up, making her look at someone. Her vision was blurred because of the tears left in her eyes, his thumb brushed softly and wiped the tears.

"Why are you crying?.." He asked.

She sniffed and can't believe in her own eyes.

"K-kaneki?...."

He smiled, he was wearing the eyepatch that she gave to him when they still work together. Also his hair changed into white and his appearance more matured, it suits him,

He sat next to her, her head resting on her shoulder. Still he was wondering why she was crying like this, "who made you cry?" He sounded demanding. She gulped.

He never sounded like this before.

"Who. Made. You. Cry?"

"I-its the boy on your university... The senoirs" she muttered quietly, she didn't wanted to hurt them but they did something bad on her, kaneki didn't answer until minuets passed.

"What did they do to you?" He lifted her chin up again to make her look into his eyes.

"T-touched m-me.."

He looked serious, he was seriously not letting her go.

'They aren't suppose to touch what's mine... Not theres..' He thought and let go of her chin softly before picking her up bridal style, she slightly squeaked her cheeks dusted light pink.

His hand was closed to her upper private part, that's what she's blushing to. She was seriously held bridal style by her secret crush half friend, she has a little crush on ayato to that's why it's only half.

"K-kaneki w-what are you doing?"

"Taking you to your apartment... You need to rest.."

She just nodded her head and let him walk.

She fell asleep on kaneki's arms, her head rested on his chest. He smiled warmly seeing the tough girl he knows a years ago.

He opened the door and closed it behind him walking in her apartment, surprisingly it's all organized. He walked towards her room opening it seeing many pictures she caught of the aogiri tree, six of them has kaneki and ayato in it.

'She must miss them...' He thought.

He walked to her bed resting her there, taking her shoes off and her scarf that kaneki gave her. pulling over the blanket on her, she nuzzled herself on the pillow a plushie popped out.

Kaneki tilted his head.

He pulled it out seeing a little him and ayato.

Making him smile.

He wanted to know the truth and say what he feel.

He's just afraid.

'Please accept me as who i'am now..'
