Seeing Ace cry like hard rain on a stormy night, was enough to make your heartache. Knowing that he had a strong fierce face when he comforted you and Luffy, made you want to comfort him in return. You barely ever seen him cry let alone while fully expressing it. You end up revealing yourself from behind the tree you were watching his form from. Running while tears threaten to fall, he hears you. "[Y/n]!" "What are you doing here?] Ace continues as he wipes the tears from his face in a fast manner. "A...a..." You say while looking down, then facing up in a fast motion you say what you've been holding in. Crying you yell, " ACE I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOUR SIDE! SO YOU CAN CRY ON MY SHOULDER WHENEVER YOU NEED TO!!! OKAY?!" You finish, and with this tears fall from the corner of his eyes. Nodding he hums yes.
Ace hugs back, while pulling you down to the ground both of you cry while you feel wetness on your shirt he tugs it. He looks up after a seemingly long moment, sniffling he says "Th...Thank you [Y/n]."Whilst you squeeze him tighter, "No problem, Big Brother." saying so you get up pulling ace by his hand. "Come on or else we're gonna miss diner!" You say while wearing a goofy grin. Making ace blush he smiles back. "Your right! Knowing Luffy he'll it all without us!" Then pulling you instead of the other way around he ends up running with you behind him. Ace thinks to himself as you both make it back, 'I want to marry her already' crouching to the ground with his hands on his head. His face becomes hot as he remembers your bright smile. He smiles himself, "Ace come inside already!" he hears you yell. Yelling back "Okay!" he runs in with a smile.
