Chapter 89: We've Got This, Baby

It's Friday, December third, at night and everybody is asleep. In Lily's and Victor's room, Lily and Victor are asleep, but Victor wakes up from Emma crying. Victor gets out of bed and goes into Emma's room. Victor sees Emma crying and he picks her up, from her crib. Victor holds Emma and goes to sit down in the rocking chair.

Victor says, to Emma "Hey, it's okay. You're okay. Shh."

Victor tries to calm down Emma and after a while, Emma goes back to sleep. Victor puts Emma back into her crib and he walks back into his and Lily's room. Victor gets back in bed, struggles up to Lily, and goes back to sleep.

It's Saturday, January twenty-ninth, in the afternoon and Lily is in Emma's room, playing with Emma. Lily is on the floor, with Emma, and her and Emma are playing with Emma's toys. Victor walks into the room and sees Lily and Emma, on the floor.

Lily says "Hey babe."

Victor says "Hey love."

Victor leans into Lily and he kisses her. They both pull apart and Victor gets on the floor. Emma sees her father and Victor picks her up.

Victor says "Hello there, my little cub."

Emma smiles, for the first time, and he parents smile at her.

Lily says "She smiled for the first time."

Victor says "I guess she likes her nickname."

Lily says "Nickname?"

Victor says "Little cub."

Lily says "Well, if she likes it then I like it too."

It's Tuesday, April twenty-sixth, at night and Lily and Victor are in Emma's room, with Daisy. Emma is on the floor playing with her toys while Daisy watches her, protectively. Lily and Victor are on the floor and also playing with Emma.

Lily says "Alright, it's time for bed."

Lily cleans up Emma's toys while Victor goes to leave the room, but Emma cries and Lily and Victor stop on what they are doing.

Lily says "What's wrong Emma?"

Daisy walks over to Emma and licks her face. Lily was about to stop Daisy, but Emma was laughing for the first time. Lily and Victor look at each other and smile.

It's Saturday, May twenty-eighth, in the afternoon and Lily is on the floor in Emma's room, playing with Emma. Lily is trying to get Emma to crawl by being a few inches away from Emma and has one of her toys. Emma tries to crawl towards her mother while Lily says encouraging stuff to Lily. The door opens and Lily sees Victor.

Lily says "Hey babe."

Victor says "Hey love."

Victor sits next to Lily and kisses her. Emma giggles and starts to crawl towards her parents.

Lily and Victor see Emma crawling towards them and Lily says "Come on, Emma. You've got this."

Emma crawls all the way to her parents and Victor picks her up. Lily and Victor kiss Emma's cheek and Emma giggles.

It's Saturday, July sixteenth, in the afternoon and Lily and Victor are in Emma's room. Lily and Victor are playing with Emma and Emma tries to stand , on her own. Emma uses one of her toys to help stand up and Lily and Victor see this.

Emma finally stands up and Lily says "Good job, Emma."

Lily and Victor smile at Emma and Emma smiles at her parents.

It's Thursday, July twenty-eighth, in the afternoon and Lily is in Emma's room, trying to get Emma to walk, on her own. Lily holds Emma's hands, while Emma is standing, and walks Emma around the room. The door opens and Lily sees Victor.
