Redditch, Worcestershire.
Emily was home for Christmas.
'But mom, I aced the tryouts.' Emily protested. 'I really am the first choice seeker for Ravenclaw, why can't I just fly once?' She demanded.
'Its a dangerous game. Leave it for the boys, stands are safer for you. ' Ms. Robinson scowled as Emily muttered something under her breath upon hearing the reply and turned at her Dad for support. He frowned and shook his in rejection.
'C'mon, we're just concerned, moreover Quidditch can be a distraction, you should rather focus on beating Lily at potions this year. Remember your main goal, becoming a Quantamagicist.' Mr. Robinson stated.
After waving her parents goodbye, as the pair of healers apparated to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, Emily's eyes wandered around their tidy living room and paused at particular portrait.
It was her aunt Taylor, she smiled, her electric blue eyes sparkled beneath her long blonde hair. She was Britain's first Quantamagicist. She developes complex magical mechanics to manipulate space time pockets. Platform 9¾ was one of her creations.
'Could you fetch me some cake dear ?' the soft voice broke the silence pulling Emily out of her thoughts.
'Uh -I mean - sure I can Grammy ' She replied as she walked across to the fireplace. 'Quidditch will always be mens' game.' the old witch whispered, handing Emily some money.
'You think so too Grammy? ' Emily questioned, surprised.
'Yes. Until you decide to join the team and change it. Its our choices that determine how things are far more than our abilities, my little girl.' Emily grinned broadly at the response and hugged. The witch flicked her wand making a book fly to her armchair from the bookshelf while Emily headed for the door.
'And keep the change.' She added.
Emily smiled closing the door behind her.

It's a dark cloudy afternoon and the streets were barren and Emily decided to shadow-step her way to the bakery. Instantly she melted out of sight and reappeared at her destination.
Emily Robinson knew she was special and she was clever for not asking many questions. For some reason she could shadow-step.
For some reason, she could do control her magic wandlessly aged 2.
For some reason her family was the only pureblood family living in a muggle neighborhood.
For some reason she could speak with magical creatures.
For some reason, she knew she had abilities.
She had decided to discover all those reasons by herself, while honing her skills to perfection. For the greater good or else why on Earth she wasn't allowed to -
'Do you ever plan to come in ?' The voice came from across the glass door.
'Erm - yeah, I do actually. ' Emily replied, startled. 'You need to stop zoning out like this. ' she scolded herself and stepped into the bakery and walked to the counter
'So how was it ? ' the boy asked smoothly. Emily raised a brow.
'I mean. ' the boy, continued with a smirk 'you were staring at me through the door, so what did you observe ? '
'Excuse me mister - '
'Styles, that's my name.', he filled in
'Mr Styles don't dare interrupt me again.' Emily said narrowing her eyes. 'And if I wrongly assume you're honest, that means you too stared back at me right ? So Mr Gorgeous-eyes, tell me what you observed.' , her tone was falsely sweet.
The sixteen year old curly brown haired guy with lionesque locks had never met someone with such a personality. He could feel an aura around her. For a split second he felt weightless as the breathtaking chocolate brown focused into his mystical sea green.
'I...um...er.. actually... I mean I didn't -' , he stuttered.
' Expect to play perfect in your head but it just happned naturally on seeing me, right Mr Styles ?' Emily winked mischievously.
' Well you're attractive Miss Gorgeous-eyes. ' He defended weakly, still trying to comprehend what's happenin'.
'Not so cocky now are we ? I'm giving you a deal, quietly sell me a chocolate cake and I won't tell anyone you still sleep with a teddy. ' Emily teased.
'Sure... give me a moment.' Styles mumbled and left, he was kinda confused but also amused with her.
Emily settled down on a chair. 'That's one damn cute boy definitely, was it worth using Legilimency on him ? ' she questioned herself.
It was not. But then, during sorting, you actually asked The Sorting Hat which house it would place itself to check if its fair. The poor thing started to emit sparks and literally tried to resign after a millennia. So you're being weird but that's normal.
The voice in her head answered.
Thereafter, she slipped into a mixed concoction of feelings with numerous realizations anchoring in a brownian manner of motion. She zoned back in on hearing a fake cough and looked up to discover Styles standing with a package behind the cash register.
'It'll be £ 3.21 and your name.' He chirped.
'Huh? '
'I'm Harry, Harry Styles. And you're ? ' he asked with a bright smile.
'Ohhh, I'm Emily Robinson. ' she replied giving him the £5 note and took the package. 'I wanted to exchange phone numbers Harry but looks my names all you wanted' she added with a fake sigh
'Wait Emily I sur-'
'Sad. Was one time offer.'
'And keep the change, use it get yourself that fender.' She whispered softly.
'HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT TOO ?', Harry wailed but on looking up from the cash register he discovered the bakery was empty.
'Baby you're perfect.' He concluded.
'Did I blush when he used my first name?' Emily pondered as she trotted back home.
