𝓛ove.

A simple, four letter word.

Though, it could mean little, and everything in the exact same moment.

To some who have been betrayed, it may mean absolutely nothing. Just a useless word someone says to cause the other to trust them. Perhaps the liars were manipulators, or they were dumb; who only believed that the silly, two-syllable feeling was fake. But nonetheless, they were liars.

To simple individuals, love may mean a feeling someone gets when they feel attraction. Butterflies in their stomach, is usually what they would call then sensation. Though, besides a feeling, it was nothing more.

Though, to one being in particular, it wasn't just a simple spark they felt in their chest. To him, this 'love' was a person. All of his care and happiness was taken out, and the only way he could receive it was by spending time with his love.

His love being you, of course.

You were a normal female, nothing particular about you that you imagined stood out. Sure, you were a minor bit shy, which most found pleasing about you, but besides that, you were invisible to everyone else. You blended in, not being noticed by the majority of students or even teachers.

Though, while others never focused on you, to one, you were the only person they noticed.

And that was going to be a problem.

You don't remember much from the experience of meeting this male, though, he remembers the moment in clear detail. It plays in his mind almost every time he thinks of you.

It was a warm August evening, and your mother needed a new book from the library; due to your brother needing one for school. She decided to bring you, hoping you could find a new friend for the few minutes she was searching. You were shy anyways so this seemed like the perfect idea.

Entering the large building, you examine the groups of books laying across the shelves. It was all so mesmerizing to you; the way they organized the books based on the color, and the pastel pink ceiling made it much more pleasing.

Small murmurs and faint squeals were heard from across the area, peeking your interests even more. You were nervous about the new environment, of course, but you were also excited to see why people enjoyed coming to the library.

After a moment of examining the large room from afar; your mother grasps onto your hand and pulls you down the endless isles of books, before reaching a small section with children toys. There wasn't much space; meaning only a few small kids could enter the compact area.

It had a toy box and a few lounge chairs, which would usually excite any eight year old like you. So, you run into the area, instantly opening the large treasure-box styled crate; that carried many items.

Your mother simply smiles and closes the door, leaving you alone in the empty; blocked off room.

A few minutes later filled with playing dress-up with yourself, the door creaks open, showing a younger male who seemed close to your age; with his father standing at the hinge of the entrance.
