seven years later.
"Hey, you're here early." A familiar voice says behind you, causing your head to whip around away from your locker. A shorter girl stood a few feet away from you, her tone stunning you slightly. It was so rough, definitely not connecting to her appearance.
She had long red hair that grew until it reached her waist; and vibrant brown eyes that were covered by round glasses. She wore casual clothes, mainly large jeans and a oversized shirt that had an anime fandom graphic on it.
You and Akane met in middle school, and became friends instantly. Though humorous most of the time, she understood how to be serious when necessary.
"Yeah.. I had band practice." You inform her; closing your bland locker in the process. She nods and scans the area around you, seeming as if she was searching for something. After a few moments of silence Akane brings her finger to her lip in confusion.
"Where's Kozume? He's usually here pressuring you to leave me alone. Did you finally throw a bone for him to chase?"
"Very funny." You begin, hearing the buzz of your phone in your back pocket. Your smart friend notices and smiles to herself, feeling amused by the timing of her sentence. "And he may not know I'm here."
"Wow, so now you're getting secretive with him? That's all the sounds going on your phone, I assume?" She infers; laughing a bit under her breath.
You grab the device out of your pocket and see multiple texts and missed calls all coming from the same male. Suzuki Kozume."..Yep, you're right." You exhale, frustrated she was right.
"Knew it. You should probably answer so he doesn't get as mad. You remember what happened last time you decided to come early?"
-
"Suzuki, I.. uh, have to go to class.""No! I'm not leaving you, Y/N!"
-"How could I forget.." You mutter, stroking your forehead as if you had a sudden migraine. Going to your phone, you click on the call app and scroll until you find his number. As you begin to hear the ringing going from your end, you start hearing faint walking that was growing closer quickly.
Suddenly, a male comes into a view; his messy hair staying brushed over his eyes. You gasp quietly by the irony of Suzuki instantly showing up; whilst Akane only giggles.
"Who knew that call app was actually a teleportation device? Impressive!" The smarter one remarks, only causing you to become more nervous. The clingy teen enters your view more, and he showed a faint smile; yet you could easily see the slight frustration and boredom behind it.
"Oh no." You speak barely over a whisper, and watch as Kozume finally notices you. His expression instantly shifts into a large grin; as he begins running down the common hallways.
"Y/N! I can't even describe how glad i am that you're okay!" He coos, leaping into a hug with you. Akane flinches back as you stay still; an embarrassed red warmth growing on your cheeks.
You understood why your other companion tried to move away quickly. In all honesty; Suzuki was quite intimidating.
He was extremely tall, a few feet taller than you, which didn't match his childish attitude whatsoever. He had vibrant blue irises that stood out from his pale skin, and medium-length hair. It was a fluffy dark black; almost looking navy colored, with a single streak of cloud-white going through his locks.
The male often wore more casual clothes; whether that be a large hoodie or a long shirt with a jean jacket, he always seemed to be comfortable. His expression was often serious-looking unless provoked; in a welcoming or agitating way.
