Katy Thomas is best known for her booming bakery shop, Katy Cakes, that has desserts as sweet as she.

Her new neighbor, Gage Rivers, is best known for being bitter and closed off from others.

The only thing they really have in common is a passion to escape from their pasts.

When one day they find themselves both in a tight situation, they turn to each other for help. Soon, their relationship as neighbors start shifting something more.

But with the two opposites collide? Or stick together in the sweetest way?

My thoughts:
- I got really hooked to this book
- loved the humor and friendships
- you learn about their pasts as you continue to read
- also had mature scenes

This is a stand-alone, however the author has a book connected to this one called "Bittersweet Extras & Restricted". This has one shots and goes into detail during certain mature scenes.

This author has another book called "Forbidden Literature" which you can read first before reading this one. The main characters in "Forbidden Literature" make an appearance once in this book.
