Chapter 3
It's my third day here in Lila and I can say that those two days that had past were amazing. I got to enjoy the beach all by my self. I'm thinking of something new to do today though, I've had enough of beach. Maybe I can ask Lola where is the mall here and go there to buy souvenirs for my friends and Stefan.
How are they kaya? Are they even worried about me? Or did they even think about me? Mabuti nalang at timing sa semestral break namin to nangyari.
Ano na kayang gagawin ko kay Stefan? Ang dami talagang nag bago don. Hindi naman siya party boy noon. Mabait nga yun eh tapos mabait din siya kina mommy't daddy. Na-impluwensyahan na talaga ng barkada hay nako, lagot sakin yun pag balik ko.
Bumangun na ako at nag toothbrush at naligo. Pagkatapos ko ay bumaba na ako para mag breakfast. Nasa hapag na si Lola kasama si Aling Carmelita.
"Good morning po." Bati ko sa kanila sabay halik sa pisngi ni Lola. I then took my seat.
"Apo, How's Lila so far?" Lola asked.
"Okay naman po. I'm just wondering lang po saan yung mall dito? I'd like to buy some souvenirs for my friends back in Bukidnon." I said while slowly eating my breakfast. Nag luto si Aling Carmelita ng bacon, eggs tsaka ham.
"Oh, Doon sa Tagbilaran, apo. Pero hindi ako pwedeng lumakad ngayon kasi may dadating akong mga kaibigan na bibisita saakin."
"That's fine, Lola. Maybe tomorrow?" I hopefully asked.
"No, Apo. You can go today. I'll just ask Ares to drive and come with you there." My Lola, offered.
"No Lola, wag na po. I don't want to cause him any trouble or burden. Baka busy siya?"
"It's alright, Apo. I'll just call him and he'll be here in an hour, you should prepare after you eat your breakfast."
True to her words, Lola called Ares Immediately. They're using this keypad samsung phone that captures really good signals. So old school, really.
After taking a shower, I then open my closet and took out my flowery string yellow dress with a small slit, and a white strappy sandals. I then put on natural make up. I was closed to finished when I heard a knock on my door.
"He'll be here any time soon apo, Are you ready?" Lola knocked on my door.
"I'll be down 5 minutes, Lola. I'm just finishing my make-up." I shouted.
One final look in the mirror and I'm good to go. This is exciting, I just hope Ares won't choose to be an arrogant asshole today. I want to know him though and be friends with him. It's good to have friends here para naman may makahalubilo ako.
Pagkatapos kong mag ayos ay bumaba naron ako. I greeted them.
"Lola, What car should we bring? Can we borrow your Trailblazer? I asked, Lola.
"I have a car. And I'm bringing my own car. And I'll only drive my car." Ares suddenly butts in. I was shocked because by his tone it's like I'm insulting him or something that I asked that to my Lola.
Hello??! How would I even know that he has a car? And he'll bring his car? And he'll only drive his car?! I wasn't informed. Mabait naman siya kina Lola at aling carmelita, pero ang sungit sakin palagi.
I rolled my eyes at him. "I did not know? Why are you being so grumpy? If you don't wanna go with me then don't I'm not forcing you to come." Mataray kong sabi.
