( Dante's POV )
It was the night before the semifinals would start and we all were having dinner prepared for us... and Tristan and Joey were stuffing their faces like there was no tomorrow.
Tea: If this was a duel muncher's competition, you two would win.
Dante: You can't even say she's wrong about that.
Croquet: On behalf of Mr. Maximillion Pegasus, I'd like to congratulate the 4 finalists and welcome them to this final phase of the duelist kingdom competition. I trust you all have your playoff entry cards.
Everyone: Huh?
Croquet: In your invitation to the duelist kingdom, you received these 2 cards, Glory of the King's Hand, and Glory of the King's Opposite hand.
He showed two cards, one having treasure inside of it, and the other being a blank card.
Croquet: You must have one of these to participate in the final tournament. Those without them are disqualified.
Yuri: So that's what they're for.
Croquet: Each card provides unique prizes. The Glory of the King's Hand is needed to claim the 300 million yen prize. The Opposite hand card allows the winner to challenge Pegasus for the championship. To make tomorrow's tournament interesting, your host has added a special ingredient to your soup
In our soup was a eye that looked like the eye that Pegasus.
Dante: What the hell?!
Joey: Hey this is worse than having a fly in my soup!
Croquet: Open up the eye and look inside it, if you will. Each of you has been randomly assigned a letter.
Me, Yuri, Joey, and Mai opened the eye we had and inside was a piece of paper. On my piece of paper was a large " C " in it.
Croquet: And now the island's computer will pair up the letters to determine tomorrow's duel match ups.
A screen board came up behind him and showed a tournament match up for us.
Croquet: And tomorrow's duels are as follows... A vs B, C vs D.
Then Joey got up from his seat and yelled a bit.
Joey: Who has C?
Dante: You don't need to yell we're all right here, and to answer you're question I do.
Joey: Alright, I've been wanting to duel you for a while now Dante.
Dante: I could say the same. I look forward to see how you're gonna play tomorrow.
Yuri: Looks like it's you and me Mai.
Mai: I'm looking forward to this duel.
Yuri: Yea, me too. And may the best duelist win.
Croquet: The duels are set. Yuri Moto vs Mai Valentine, and Joey Wheeler vs Dante Stryker. Please enjoy the rest of this feast. Because for 3 of you tomorrow, your long journey will end in failure.
When he got done we all finished eating the dinner. And I saw Yuri giving Joey one of the prize cards needed to enter since apparently he didn't have one and she gave him the Glory of the King's Hand. I guess I kinda forget about his sister's eye problem with the whole Pegasus thing happening.
