Chapter IX
We are stuck in a difficult situation. They are gonna count people in that room and If we are in there, we are gonna get caught. And if we didn’t go, Alaric and Fitz can create a problem. What should we do? Take a risk or slip from the scene? Gosh! We’ve chosen wrong day for the adventure.
“All 30 won’t be here I bet” Ted says.
“What makes you think that?” I ask.
“They are human. They got to forget it.”
“Dude! If it’s a matter of life and death, they will be here for sure. We can’t risk ourselves. P.S even though they don’t come, the other vampires can know that we are human just by smelling us.”
“Which leaves us the only option; that is; to leave this place ASAP.” Rebekah says.
"Yeah but how will we leave? Where should we go? Look! The people in that room are the only ones that know a way out. Without seeking their help, we can't do this” I say.
"But all four can't get in there. It's a risk." Ted says.
"It's a risk we have to take.”
"No Klaus! Ted is right...for the first time ever. I hope it won't be the last time. Anyways, it is a risk. Only one of us will go." Rebekah in her sexy accent gives a suggestion.
"No Rebekah! Nothing good happens whenever a group splits up. I've seen in movies." Ted had to say something.
A cold breeze I feel. Like something just passed by me with quite a recordable speed. I see a blurry image now. As if object is decelerating.
OMG... It's Alaric. He must've overheard us. He might be aware of the fact that we aren't vampires. Oh God. This doesn't seem good.
"Holy shit! That was awesome man! How you do that? Is there...is there a nitro button somewhere or something else? Do you feel dizzy after this?" Ted asks while moving his fists towards him for bumping.
Alaric, as I expected, bumps Ted's face instead of fist.
"That'll keep him for a while! You sir, have done a great favor to me!" Rebekah says.
"Well...you can pay back anytime. How about now, Miss......not a vampire! I've always loved blondes." Alaric holds her arm so she couldn't run away.
"Leave her, Alaric." I say.
"Oh come on! Just the appetizer. Dinner is arranged already on someone else. Lucky for her!"
He bites around her neck. His eyes are turning red and the thirst for blood can be seen easily in them. Blood veins with a sound of crack appear all the way from his eyes down to his nostrils. Her blood can be seen dripping down from his spooky vampire teeth. His eyes are getting redder.
The innocence in her eyes, the sound of her groaning every time when he tried to suck the blood out of her system, totally heart breaking.
Her screams nearly tore down my eardrums initially but as she gets out of blood, her scream and groaning get dimmer. She is choking; as if the lack of blood is hindering her to breathe, eyelids seem to stay open no longer, she's rapidly blinking; reminding me of a fire lamp that hitches several times when it is about to go off.
I had to take some action, I punch him as hard as I could but the son of a bitch doesn't even flinch. He pushes me against a wall.
"You shouldn't have insisted for the dinner as well."
"I'm begging you please leave her. What has she done to you? Why are you doing this to her?"
"It's too late now isn't it! "
"You son of a bi---" I was thrown at the ground before I could complete. I may have broken a bone or two.
He reaches her, gives her a monster grin, and starts sucking her blood... again..
Her face has turned yellow. There isn't any force left in her.
"Remarkable dinner!" he says and rips her heart apart with just bare hands. A splash of her remaining blood decorates the whole area. She's no longer between us. She died in front of me. Her eyes were at me the whole time; even in her last breath, having a little faith that I might save her while I didn't do anything but to watch her die horribly. Alaric tore her apart... literally.
"NOOOOOOOO!!!!" I say.
"Oops!"
