Sunwoo tightly clenched his jaw, gritting his teeth together whilst throwing darts at Yeonjun's picture. A year had successfully passed with Sunwoo on the run from the police after stabbing Soobin and hospitalizing him. His plan to kidnap Huening Kai had backfired and instead of leaving with the other boy—he left with a criminal record on his file. He couldn't even go back to attending school—he had no choice but to live the life of an exiled criminal.
"Fuck, this shit pisses me off," Sunwoo spat, kicking at the mold infesting the rundown walls of his makeshift home for the time being until he thought of another plan.
Not only was he betrayed by the one person who he believed would be his savior, but his own sister also betrayed him in order to return back to living a peaceful life. He had no one left to pull him out of the dark hole he was falling in. If anything, he wanted to have Jennie's head and cause her to suffer a gruesomely painful death. He wanted her to experience the desperation and betrayal she put him through.
But right now, Sunwoo's current victim was plastered on the wall right in front of him. Choi Yeonjun. The fourth-generation it boy. Capturing Korea's attention and crowning him with the label of the fourth-generation it boy. An all-rounder idol that had outstanding visuals and perfect in every aspect.
Sunwoo was aiming to destroy Choi Yeonjun. To rip that crown of his head and make him kneel in terror. He wanted Sunwoo to taste death.
He was going to turn up the flames and set Choi Yeonjun on fire.
Soobin softly smiled, indulging in Yeonjun's warmth radiating next to his body as they slept in the same bed. Ever since the incident with Sunwoo, it took them a while to settle back into their lives as idols. Soobin still had baggage of trauma weighing him down and found himself unable to sleep without a warm presence beside him. The nightmares would be too suffocating to bear on his own.
Of course, their fans weren't aware of Soobin's hiatus after being stabbed but soon he was checked out of the hospital and deemed fit enough to continue performing. It was a relief for him to be able to stand on the same stage with his other members. Seeing MOAs' faces and their expressions of love towards them. It was the reason why he kept pushing himself to be and do better. Thinking of his fans was the key to his energy.
Huening Kai was still jumpy around Soobin and Yeonjun but he slowly began to return back to his normal cheery self. As for Beomgyu and Taehyun, their relationship was rocky but somehow their feelings had been established for each other and they started to date. It was more difficult than Soobin imagined having to keep your feelings a secret. It was already acceptable to do a certain amount of skinship because fans shipped them and they enjoyed fanservice but Soobin wished he was able to love Yeonjun freely without any restrictions.
He was aware this was the price he would have to pay in order to be an idol and be in a secret relationship with his member behind closed doors.
As long as he had Yeonjun by his side, Soobin would be able to conquer anything in his way.
Soobin reached his hand up to tentatively brush a few strands of Yeonjun's newly dip-dyed neon hair. Over the months for their comebacks, they've all dyed their hair in different colors but neon was definitely a new look for Yeonjun. It suited him a lot and made it harder for Soobin to keep his eyes and hands off the older boy.
He didn't realize that the other boy's eyes slowly fluttered open until he cast his gaze back over to Yeonjun—meeting his brown eyes.
"You scared me!" Soobin jolted in surprise at the two eyes amusedly blinking back at him. "Say something if you're awake next time hyung," Soobin pouted, gently pushing Yeonjun's shoulder.
