The trio entered the bustling hospital room, with doctors running around from left to right whilst injured patients were being hastily wheeled in to be tended to. The dark-haired boy's heartbeat was thumping against his chest like a broken record. His hands were clammy and shaky at the thought of being able to touch Soobin again after the traumatic event they all experienced. He didn't know what to expect upon stepping foot inside the hospital room. He just hoped and prayed that Soobin was doing okay.

"What are we going to say when we them?" Taehyun nervously asked, snapping Huening Kai out of his thoughts.

Beomgyu's eyebrows furrowed in contemplation, his voice hesitant and unsure. "We're just going to have to deal with manager hyung being mad. Besides," he throws a glance over at the pair walking behind him, "we have a right to know if something's gone wrong."

Huening Kai anxiously fiddled with his fingers. "How are we going to find his room?"

Taehyun's brown eyes scanned the area until his eyes landed on a female doctor who was conversing with another nurse. "Let's ask her. I'm sure the doctors would be able to tell us."

Huening Kai and Beomgyu followed his gaze before both nodded in agreement. The trio walked over to the female doctor as she wrapped up her conversation with the nurse, a small smile on her lips. She turned slightly to see the three uneasy boys standing in front of her.

"Is there something wrong boys? Can I assist you with something?" She kindly asked, patiently waiting for one of them to answer.

"Well you see there was a patient admitted here named Choi Soobin with a stab injury. We're his close friends and would like to see him," Beomgyu explained, his eyes falling on her name tag, "Dr Kim."

Dr Kim's eyes slowly widened in realisation as she blinked at Beomgyu for a moment before her face softened into consideration. "Ah, Soobin. Yes, he's stabalised and is recovering quite well. Visiting times are nearly over but," she paused, a mischievous smile gracing her lips, "I'll allow you three to see him."

Huening Kai breathed out a sigh of relief, truly grateful for the woman's kindness. He hurriedly bowed with humbleness. "Thank you so much."

Taehyun and Beomgyu stared at Huening Kai with wide eyes before quickly following his example and also bowing. Dr Kim was flushed with embarrassment as other doctors and nurses curiously peered at them. She dismissed their politeness with a wave.

"Please don't worry about it," she graciously chuckled, tucking a loose strand out of her ponytail behind her ear. "I'll lead you the way to his room. He's currently awake."

Dr Kim walked through the hallway, exchanging friendly smiles with people passing by now and then whilst the three nervous boys followed behind her. "He hasn't had any visitors yet so I was surprised to see you boys suddenly show up."

Beomgyu raised an eyebrow, registering her words as he stared at Huening Kai and Taehyun with a puzzled expression.

"He hasn't had any visitors yet?" He warily repeated.

Huening Kai thought that their manager and Yeonjun had come to visit Soobin. Why would their manager lie to them? He was confused as to what was going on and where they had ended up going if they didn't visit Soobin.

"Where do you think they went?" Taehyun quietly asked, flickering his gaze over to their maknae and then Beomgyu whose face was scrunched up with irritation.

"First and foremost, how could they have lied to us?" Beomgyu gritted, his fists clenched by his side.

Before Huening Kai could breathe out a word, Dr Kim interrupted them. She stopped at a closed door and spun on her heels to face them.

"This is his room. Make sure to be careful when hugging him, he's still recovering," she said, pointing at the door. "I'll leave you three to it."

The three boys bowed once again and silently watched the lady walk back in the direction of the main area of the hospital.

"I'm nervous to see him after what happened," Taehyun admitted, his gaze cast to the ground. "What should we even say to him? Do we even bring up what happened?"

Beomgyu breathed out a heavy sigh, folding his arms. "I don't know but let's try not to bring up what happened just in case. He might still not feel comfortable speaking about it until the police question all of us."

"Also," Huening Kai started, biting down on his bottom lip, "I don't think he knows that Sunwoo escaped so I don't think we should bring that up either."

Beomgyu's hand touched the door handle, hesitating. "Let's just give him all the support we need and then we'll deal with everything later."

The auburn-haired boy opened the door to reveal a pristine white hospital room, almost blinded at how clean and white everything was in the room. Soobin was hooked up to different IV machines and he was staring up at the television screen that was playing a cheesy cartoon show.

"Hyung!" Taehyun gasped, rushing over to a shocked and stunned Soobin who carefully stared at each and every one of them. "We're so glad you're okay. We couldn't stop worrying."

Huening Kai and Beomgyu walked over to the other side to stand beside Soobin's hospital bed. He looked better and healthier from the last time he saw him.

"I missed you guys so much," Soobin softly said, fighting back tears at the sight of his three group members. He had missed each and every single member and was so glad to see them again but he then realised that a member was missing and stared at them in confusion. "Wait, where's Yeonjun hyung?"

Beomgyu averted his gaze in anger. "That's the problem. We don't exactly know."

Taehyun glimpsed at the older before locking eyes with Soobin. "He was supposed to visit with manager hyung but they're not here."

Soobin looked down at his hands in deep thought. Huening Kai noticed the tense atmosphere and decided to fix it.

"Ah, but I'm sure that he's safe!" He reassured everyone with a small smile.

Soobin quietly gazed up at the three members, his expression unreadable. "Hopefully."
