(Chapter 4) Masquerade Ball

Feitans POV

I stared out the window of the carriage watching the lake flow and the birds flying all around. In the corner of my eye I could see Sebastian holding a box of what seemed to be sweets from the kitchen.

After what seemed to be days but more likely 50 minutes we were there, I hoped out so did Phinks and Sebastian. We walked towards the the giant mansion through the doors to be greeted by her slave, we walked inside and were leaded to the dining room where she waited for us.
I sat near her as Phinks stood next to me and Sebastian watched Phinks behavior. A servant came out and brought tea for both of us then walked away. I looked around and saw 4 security guards watching us
"So whats the reason you wanted me to come over?" I spoke.
"Well Feitan I've decided to have a masquerade ball! It's been so long since there's been a one that a can't remember the last one".
"Well that sounds exciting but why would you make me come all the way over here when you could've sent over a letter? I say picking up my tea and taking a tip, "See balls take a lot of time to prep and I think it would be nice to have it at the castle!!"
Choking on my tea and covering my mouth a I leaped up slamming my hand on the table"You want to have a ball at my castle?! God damn it Ray you live in a fucking mansion!"

The whole room was quite and Ms.Grey had on a shocked look(Ray is Ms.Greys name but in the story Feitan would usually call her Ms.Grey instead) I sat back down a little embarrassed but kept calm, I looked at Ms.Grey she looked back at me and started giggling "Feitan you haven't said my name in so long! It's good to know that you actually remember it" she said with a smile. "Well of course I would remember it! We're both very close so it would be bad if I didn't know" I played it off trying to act like I didn't mean to break out like that
"Ah your right I have a mansion but I wanted to invite our friends from far like Machi and Shizuku! They always come here but never to your castle cause your not inviting them! I think it would be nice for them to see the castle" I thought about it and she was right, I've know Machi and Shizuku for years but  would never come and stay in the castle. (Just wanna say here and this story Machi and Shizuku are gonna be dating for YALL Machi.Shizuku shippers🤌✨)
"Fine then we can send out invitations to everyone saying there will be a ball on October 29, so in 3 days"
She jumped in the air with glee "Oh it will be so much fun!"
I smiled and looked at Phinks through the corner of my eye and I could see he had a little bit of excitement in him

After our goodbyes we got back in the carriage and headed to the castle. "Phinks you seem excited for this ball, have you never been to one?" I asked with curiosity
He looked at me "well where I came from there were but you had to be really rich to be invited" I looked at him with a smile "well lucky for you, your invited for free" he smiled and it made me feel..ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑦 Zt.
We arrived back at the castle and I announced everything to all the servants, maids , and chefs telling them about the big ball we'll have in 3 days. I went up to my work space grabbing a pencil and envelope.

I started drawing a small design on the envelope but it was hard to draw roses.(no like actually they are hard to draw) I erased so many times even if it was only 5 minutes it felt like a fucking hour went by. I kept trying to draw flowers on it but it kept going wrong, I placed my pencil down and put my hands on my head. It was quite until I heard a knock at the door "come in" and peeked out was Phinks head. He came inside and shut the door then sitting in the chair in front of me. He seemed distracted at something cause he looked my way but no at me. I looked in front of me and he was looking at the envelope with messed up flowers on it.
"We're you trying to draw flowers?" He looked at me and asked. I covered my face with embarrassment nodding yes, he came around the table and grabbing my hand gently helping me draw. When we finished I moved my hand and there in front of my were drawn roses, "Their beautiful! I didn't know you could draw" I told Phinks and he looked at me with a smile. I gave Phinks the card and told him to go ask the workers to make at least 199 more! Walking out of the room looking for Sebastian I wandered the halls, as I walked I looked at the giant pictures of my parents and me on the wall. I stopped in my tracks and stared at one of the pictures wondering what it would still be like if they were here. Feeling a tall figure behind me I turn around and see Sebastian standing there also looking at the picture. "Sebastian, would you ask the servants to start putting up decorations" he nodded walking down the hall to where most of the servers were.

TIME SKIP 3 DAYS CAUSE ITS ALREADY HALLOWEEN

As the sun set I fixed my self in the mirror making sure my costume was set, I was dressed up with a black silk laced mask like someone would usually wear at a masquerade party. Just before putting the mask on I looked out the window watching guest arrive and walk inside. There hasn't been a ball in years and on Halloween where we can dress up made me excited! I put my mask on before I walked out of my room and speed walked to the ball room where everyone else was, I entered standing at the top of the stairs looking down at all the people. I smiled while walking down the steps seeing all the faces of friends who lived afar. Grabbing a glass of champagne from a server I hear a familiar voice from the back of my head, "well you haven't grown any taller", I turn seeing a pink haired lady with a miss with black hair and glasses hugging her arm. It was Machi and Shizuku standing there, I walked closer and gave them both a hug. "It's been awhile hasn't it? Glad to see you guys could make it here" I say, Shizuku looked at Machi "well we almost missed our train here cause of a certain SOMEONE who got hungry before we left!" "Well we were in a rush so I didn't get to eat!!". I laugh at their little argument until Machi looked at me with a smirk on her face. "So have you found a special someone yet?". I try not to smile by the question keeping a straight face "ah not yet sadly" I see Shizuku look at Machi worried "...you should find a lover soon Fei, this  kingdom needs a king and queen not a just a single prince. Plus, you should have someone to love nd keep you company" A frown forms on my face "Im not fucking lonely and  can handle this place just fine by myself". We were quite for a minute until I feel a tap on my shoulder. I look over to see a girl in a fancy dress seeming to be about my age. "Hello my lord, It's a great gift to be in your presence. I'm Evette" she says while curtsying. I look at Machi and Shizuku who are smiling at the scene. "We'll leave you two alone" and they walk off. Grabs Evette's hand and kisses it "well it is nice to meet you Evette".

Talks with Evette for awhile while drinking champagnes

Waltz music stars playing

Looks at Evette and sticks hand out. "Care to dance?"
