Chapter 6

Same day from Josh's POV

I woke up and Alice and I were sprawled out on the loveseat. It was about 11 o'clock, wow we had slept for  a long time. Aside from my body being a bit sore it was the best sleep I had in weeks. I slowly untangled myself from her careful not to wake her up. She had no idea that I had slept there on the couch with her and I wasn't planning on bringing it up. I looked down at her face for a moment and noticed how peaceful she looked. She almost smiled a little bit in her sleep and it was incredible to me how much pain she wore on her face when she was awake. My stomach wrenched a little bit, she was such a beautiful soul yet there was something holding her back. I would find about her, I had to. 

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my phone. I had a message from Matt, 

Hey man, me and the guys are hitting up the studio at about 1:00. Meet us there if you can.

I wanted to spend the day with Alice, but I'm sure she had other things to do anyway. I heard her stirring in the living room so I walked back in. 

"Morning! Hahaha your hair is a mess. Did you sleep okay?"

"Yeah actually, pretty good. What time is it?" she replied. 

"Eleven-thirty. You were out pretty fast last night, I fell asleep too which is suprising. Did you want anything?" 

"No, no I'm good. I should probably go shower. I need to go and set up a new phone, and then maybe order some furniture for that barren apartment of mine."

"Do you need a ride? I'm heading over to the studio in a bit probably."

I secretly hoped that she did so that we could go for another coffee or something. 

"Oh no its okay, my car should have been sent over this morning, I think they said someone would drive it right here to the building. Hey thanks for letting me crash here, its very sweet of you. And sorry about that whole crying escapade last night, its the last thing you probably wanted to see. Are you going to be around later?" 

I completely forgot about her break down last night and I hoped that she didn't feel awkward about the whole thing. I was happy to have been there for her. 

"Seriously don't worry about it, I don't mind at all. The last thing I would want you to feel is embarassed or uncomfortable about it. Everyone has their issues. But yeah I'm only going to the studio for a few hours to go over some stuff with the guys, do you want to grab some food later?" 

"Yeah sure! I don't have any food in my apartment and who knows if I'll make it grocery shopping. I hate grocery shopping. I'll come by when I get back!" 

I was suprised at her enthusiasm. Man this girl never failed to suprise me. She turned to walk out of the apartment and I was sad to see her go, but she turned back around.

"See you soon" she said and smiled. 

"I can't wait" I replied. 

That was the stupidest thing ever. Why did I say that? I probably sounded so eager, I need to play it more cool. As I continued to bash myself in my head and thenn I heard my cell ring from the kitchen and I went in and grabbed it. It was Matt.

"Hey dude, are you going to meet us at the studio later?"

"Yeah yeah for sure, I'll be there."

"Cool man, see you soon."

I went and jumped in the shower and then headed down to the studio. When I walked in the guys were already there.
