07- First Street Race

Violet ducked her head as she got out of Letty's car. The team where at a local street race. This was Violet's first time going to one.
"Guys I am nervous." Violet tells Letty and Mia.
"Your going to be okay just stick with us." Letty says putting a arm around Violet's shoulder.
"Okay." Violet says smiling before they head over to the rest of the team.
"Why does Hector hold the money?" Someone asks as the Violet, Mia and Letty make it over to where the team is standing.
"Because he's too slow to make away with the money." Some else says causing the group around the team to laugh and Hector to roll his eyes.
"Good luck guys." Dom says slapping two men on the back.
"Hey wait!" Someone calls as they make there way through the crowd. Violet turns to see Brian. She bits her lip to contain her smile as Brian pulls a pink slip out of his pocket. "I don't have any money but I do have a pink slip."
Jesse stands next to Dom before saying "Hey, you can't just step into the ring with a Ali cause you think you can box."
Violet let out a small laugh and Brian glances over at her and Violet smiles. Brian smiles back before looking at Vince and pointing at him.
"He knows I can box." Brian says. "So, check it out. Its like this. I lose, winner takes my car, clean and clear. But if I win I take the car and the respect."
Dom looks at his sisters and smirks before saying "Respect."
"To some people that's more important." Brian says as everyone laughs.
Violet let out a small smile. Everyone who was racing went to there cars while everyone who wasn't went and stood at the side of the road.

Dom ends up winning the race. Letty, Violet and Mia all walk towards Dom as he turns to face them. He hands Mia the money before lifting Letty into the air.
"Now I got the real trophy right here." Dom says putting Letty down.
Letty laughed as Mia says "God, get a room."
Brian's car soon comes towards them and Dom walks over to him with the rest of the team following him. Brian had a huge smile on his face as the team got over to him. The hood of his car had white smoke coming out of it.
"What you smiling about?" Dom asks.
"I almost had you." Brian says smiling.
Violet shook her head as the crowd laughed at him.
"You almost had me? You never had me. You never had your car." Dom tells him. Violet's heart dropped as Brian's smile disappeared. "Now me and the mad scientist gotta rip apart the block and replace the piston rings you let fly." Jesse whooped as Dom shut the hood of the car. "Ask any racer, any real racer, it doesn't matter if you win by a inch or a quarter mile. Winning is winning."
The crowd cheered in agreement as Violet stood there not knowing what to do.
"COPS!" Someone yells and Panic soon broke out.
Everyone was rushing to get to their cars and Violet somehow managed to lose all the team in the mob of people. Violet was still looking for anyone on the team when she felt someone grab her arm. She turns around to see Brian.
"Brian?" Violet asks.
"Come on we got to get out of here." Brian tells her dragging her to his car.
"Okay." Violet says before climbing into the car.
Brian starts driving away while Violet looks back and sees all her team's cars are gone before sitting back in the seat.
"You okay." Brian asks.
"Yeah. That was just my first street race I had ever been to." Violet explains.
"Don't worry it was my first one as well." Brian tells her.
The car was silent for a few moments before Violet speaks up "Thanks for helping me out back there. If you didn't grab my arm and drag me to the car I don't know what I would have done."
"Its okay. Besides its better me then someone you have never met before." Brian tells her.
"True." Violet says laughing.
"Is that your brother?" Brian asks and Violet looks to see Dom running.
"Yeah." Violet says.
"Ok hold on." Brian says taking a sharp right.
"I will get in the back so it is easier for him to get in." Violet says before climbing over to the backseat.
They cut of Dom's path and Brian yelled. "Get in!"

Dom gets in. He looks backwards to see if he could see the cops cars but came face to face with his little sister. His body instantly grew tense and his eyes widen.
"What are you doing here?" Dom asks.
"Brian got me out of there. I lost everyone in the rush to get out." Violet explains.
"Is that true?" Dom asks looking at Brian.
"Yeah. She needed help." Brian replies. Dom was about to reply but Brian cut him off. "Hold on!"
Brian made and sharp turn while Violet grabbed both their shoulders to keep her steady. Brian drifted through all the cop cars. Violet let out a sigh of relief as they come to a road with no cops.
"You're the last person on earth, I expected to help me." Dom tells Brian.
Brian looked over at Dom before saying "Yeah, well I thought if I got in you good Graces you might let me keep my car."
Violet bit back her smile while Dom said "You are in my good graces, but you ain't keeping your car." The car was silent until Dom spoke up again "You drive like you've done this before. You a wheelman?"
"No." Brian replies.
"You boost cars?" Violet asks. "You ever spent time."
Brian looked between the two siblings before looking back at the road "A couple of overnights, no big deal."
"What about two years in juvie for boosting cars?" Dom asked.
Both Brian and Violet looked at Dom confused.
"Yeah, I had Jesse run a profile on you. You find anything on the web, anything about anyone. So why bullshit?" Dom explains.
"What about you?" Brian asks.
Both Dom looked out the window while Violet looked down.
"Two years in Lompoc. I'll die before I go back." Dom says.
Violet looks out the window feeling tears come to her eyes remembering all the events that happened to make her and Jakob decide to run away.
Hearing motorbikes Dom head snaps to the back of the window.
"Shit."
